While on the phone with my Geico insurance rep, when I was setting my JT up with insurance. He asked me if I wanted a 6yr warranty on anything mechanical for the JT. I asked how much extra on my Insurance. $7 a month more. Sold.

I ended up sticking with the overland 18" rims went with 35" x 12.5 Ironman all country tires $220 a piece. Still at 19 mpg my speedo was off by 2 mph showing 42 mph on speed cart 44 mph. The tires only hang out of fender about a inch. I did install a 2.5" ICON stage 1 lift, so no rubbing.
Just put on my ICON stage 1 , 2.5" lift. I was a little worried that I would have buyers remorse once Metalcloak dropped their 2.5". Not the case, Im so glad I didnt wait for MC. I think the JT hardware looks hideous, compared to ICON. Jmo
So, this fire got me thinking. Could you imagine if this truck had a 3k suspension, 2k Rack, 2k tent, 1k fridge, drawers etc ! Im pretty sure all that stuff is not covered by your insurance unless you were able to add it somehow. Im gonna have a little talk with Geico and see if it is possible...
I love these wheels! One question though. Have you or anyone heard any negative reviews on the top photo wheel? I noticed that it is a solid wheel with no holes/slats which help cool the brake rotors. I was wondering if this affects brake performance when in 4 low, traversing down steep grades...
