  1. Rodents... PSA

Ugh... We've had to replace wiring harnesses on my in-laws Toyota Avalon 4X's in the last couple of years. Each time to the tune of $400-700. One time, it was running - but poorly - and we drove it to the dealer only to have them pop the hood, and pull out a rabbit. Literally. The Avalon is...
  2. Moab March 2023 trip with friends that have become like family! Tons of pics and video

NICE! Thanks for the pics1!! I love Moab. Been there mostly on 2 wheels though, and it's been a few years. Great to see the Gladiators doing a bunch of the hard/fun stuff!! Cheers,

  4. X

    Nice report!!! Thanks!
  5. First Jeep in 30 years, is this a good deal?

FYI - I just bought a new 2022 JT Rubicon a month ago. Killer good credit and the best they could do was 7.88%. Got the vehicle at $11,000 below msrp with minimal haggling as long as I financed thru the dealer (AutoNation). Good luck, hope this helps.
  6. Manzanar Japanese Internment camp near Mt. Whitney in california

Thanks for that! Much appreciated. I've ridden dirt bikes all over that area. From Lone Pine up to Manzinar and beyond. We have a close family friend with a cabin on the river just a stones throw away from Movie road. I only watched your Lone Pine video, but it brought back fond memories...
  7. California Adventure 2023

Thanks for a nice write-up. Being in AZ now, I kinda miss the So Cal dez, but we have our own unique brand of desert over here. Equally cool, but a lot more rocky. The So Cal dez is awesome for dirt bike riding. Miss it....
  8. Gladiator Glamour Shots

Just getting started with this beauty...... :) :)
  9. Trailer Hitch Motorcycle Carrier Confusion

I've had several KLX300's for myself, my son, and a good buddy. I've highly modded all of them with aftermarket exhausts, carbs, suspension, etc. If you have any questions, feel free to ask away. I've moved on from the KLX, but they are a decent all around trail / minimal road bike. I...
  10. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

Not too exciting, but I'm just getting started..... And.... Now that the snow is gone, mudflaps. Haha! Better late than never - snow is now mud, so still needed. Went with the weathertech's. Install was straightforward, but getting some of those clips out was a major PITA. I finally...
  11. Have you tried windshield protection film?

I haven't yet, but it is on my "to do" list, although not too close to the top. Seems every car we have has a cracked windshield. I suspect the JT will be no different. Will def check out your product.
  12. Have you ever done the Jeep wave......

LOL. Yup. My wife told me she saw a killer built Gladiator today and I asked her if she gave the Jeep Wave, and she looked at me like I was an idiot - and said - NO! I was in the Infiniti. Doh! Gotta remember the vehicle you're in..... :)
  13. Loose bolts and tools

Good Question!! Subscribing. Check out the youtube trailrecon channel. He has a good "what I bring for tools and spares" on his channel. Also, here's a couple of threads here...
  14. Trailer Hitch Motorcycle Carrier Confusion

This is the carrier I'll be using to haul my KTM or Husky for off-road trips. The bed on the gladiator is just a bit short for comfort with a big bike in back - plus it's HIGH on the Rubicon, and in sketchy situations can be a bit of a load for me. The bottle jack solution carrier is perfect IMO.
  15. Spare Tire Questions

Good luck! I'll be right behind you. Looking towards 35's for the Rubicon..... Probably with a Mopar 2" lift - but looking at options that won't nuke my warranty.
  16. Dont throw anything away!!

Haha! I learned this the hard way with dirt bikes. Now I keep all the stock parts, so that when I trade up, I pull off the blingy aftermarket stuff and put it on the new bike. You can never get even close to your money back on aftermarket when you sell.
  17. Factor 55 Sawtooth kit

I'd also recommend RhinoUSAinc. About half the price the OP is quoting. I just got a large recovery kit from them that I pieced together on their site, and have been super impressed so far. Have not had to use it yet, but the quality is there, and I'm confident that when I need it - it will...
  18. Am I crazy for thinking I want a Gladiator?

" Well....the grass always SEEMS greener. :CWL: But seriously, as others have said, you'll love it. Just got ours - our first jeep - and I freaking LOVE it. Wife loves it too. It was covered in mud by day 2....
  19. 2022 Rubicon - Pricing in March of 2023

Hey Chris & guys - first post here, but been lurking for a few weeks now. I just bought a "closeout" 2022 Rubicon and the online price was $$49k - 11k below sticker. There were some "gotcha's" though. Most notably, you had to finance through one of their finance companies even if you pay it...
