I would be fearful of the quarter panels coming out without the back window in. They would only be held loosely on side side. The window actually pulls and keeps them snug so they don’t come out.
So I don’t know what tires you are looking to go with but I went with the 37x12.5x17 KO2s and no re gear and the Jeep drives really well. They are a lighter 37 though. The only thing I did was recalibrated the speedometer and I have been getting between 18.5-19.5 MPG
I was able to use my wife’s affiliate through her work without her name being on the paperwork. Two different dealerships would allow it for me so I don’t think it was a one off thing.
Yeah, plus up until the TSB came out it was just “that’s how they drive”. Maybe you should let him know about the TSB so the next time someone says something to him he will have the info. Plus he sells the vehicles and doesn’t repair them. Since it isn’t a recall and he isn’t seeing every Jeep...
I agree that it’s never a “it will pay for itself over time” thing. I’m just trying to figure out who the diesel is made for if towing and payload are both less and there is an overall higher cost of ownership.
Yeah, I would say it is odd, but given all of the options you can get for Jeeps, maybe they really like what you have done and decided to go with that vs ordering things and not liking them. Especially since most things aren’t easy to buy, try, and decide if you like them.
I have had 0 rubbing on the road. I can turn the wheel fully left or right with no issue. I have not taken it off road with this setup, but I feel that it would definitely rub in that scenario.
