Discount tire says that they can go on 8” rims. I’m actually looking at different rims anyway that are 8.5” which would match BFGoodrich’s recommendation.
I have the 37x12.5x17 KO2 on a rim with +30 offset and no rubbing even with the wheel turned all the way. I also have it on the stock spare wheel and it fits with a little persuasion at 35psi
I had these before going to the 37 ko2. I only used them on road, but did use the C rated KO2 33” on the jl off-road. They ran great both on and off road. I primarily went with the KO2s because they are light. I didn’tnotice any difference driving with the 315s on the gladiator.
I see you are in WV. Not sure how far away this is for you but check out @Travis@TriCityJeep. He has a sub forum in the vendor area. I have gotten two jeeps with him so far custom built and it was a great experience.
I’m no expert but I believe the reason for re-gearing is to bring the engine RPMs back to near stock for a given speed. Not specifically due to the weight difference.
I haven’t but I would get exactly what you want. It’s a long term purchase and if you like the one on the lot more go for it. I’m sure the other will have no issue selling.
Thinking about going with 37s. Debating a black rhino wheel 17x8 with +30 offset or the Mopar Satin Black wheel 17x8.5 with +11 offset. Also debating the KO2 or Ridge Grappler. I like that the KO2 is about 10lbs less but also like the look/price of the KO2. I have an automatic rubicon and...
