Yes it has ESS. The F150s with out the ESS are the same, only the chip for the ESS and the button is deleted

It may, my brother has a F150 and it only has one battery and it causes no issues. I bypassed my aux battery to diagnose a battery issue. With the aux bypassed it solved my issue and I never reconnected it its a 2 minute process and can reversed easily if needed.

I don't see it in a truck that the bed gets used. One week of surf fishing, ice chest, gear and dogs it wood need replacing or refinishing.

I used the NAPA Legend #BAT 9894R. I have used NAPA batteries for years have not had a issue with them.

We still have our 05 TJ. Had to replace water pump last spring. Only repair. Not counting oil, filters, plugs, tires etc.. I can only hope to get half the service out of my Gladiator

My 2020 Sport S has 75K on it and other than routine maintance I have had no issues. Oil changes, tire rotation, alignment at 70. It will need tires at round 80K but it has been rock solid.
