I haven't tackled the plugs on the JT yet, my worst tuneup was on my 03 F250 with the V10. One hour for the first 9 plugs. Most of the day for plug #10. Last week I tuned up my wifes 05 TJ 4.0 45 minutes start to finish. Man I love that vehicle.
My 2020 has set outside since day 1. We do have a two car garage, but the 06 Mustang GT convertible and the HD get the garage. My JT and her TJ set outside. Waxing twice a year and the paint looks the same as new. My wife's 05 TJ still looks good paint is not faded , pinstripes don't count.
I'm not saying the 4.0 will ever make the power my JT does, but I feel that it will outlast my 2020. I love my JT but I do wish it was a simpler machine. I guess i'm to old and simple the TJ does not intimidate me with its electronics.
It may not produce massive horse power but my wife's 05 still runs like new and will probably out last my next JT. It's easy to service no need to remove the intake manifold to change the plugs.
I had chipmunks eat the engine cover on my wife's 13 Wrangler, never touched the wiring. I through the engine cover away and they lost interest. We have a Jack Russel now and she keeps the small animals under control. Never thought about chewing on a battery.
I kept the stop start turned off, no problems until battery issues at 2 1/2 years 45,000 miles. disconnected the small battery and replaced the start (main) battery a year ago no issues at 75,000 miles.
I know I am comparing apples to oranges, but I have changed the fluid in my F250 over the last 260K with out incident. I bought a extended capacity pan drained and refilled in my driveway at 70K. 10K on it with out issue. The new pain holds 2 extra quarts of fluid and has a drain plug.
When I approached 60K I approached my dealer about servicing the transmission, they looked like I had two heads, normally they always suggest other services. But they acted like they didn't want to service my transmission.
Well I got messed up. I ordered three jugs, realized it was shipped to a old (5 years old) address. I immediately called customer service who said they could cancel the order. That I needed to reorder. I just got a notice that it was delivered to my old address.
How about better tow mirrors. At least make it a option. When I bought my 2020 it was billed as the best tow vehicle in its class. And it tows great, being able to see while backing up would be nice.
