  1. Is 58 degrees warm enough to install softtop?

It’s always warm enough for a soft top. The heaters in these things are insane. I only have a premium soft top and have used it all winter to the single digits. With a beanie on I’m perfectly fine.
  2. Beach driving tires

I drive those exact beaches all the time in my Mojave and before that a ZR2 Colorado. As stated air down. I run 15psi in 4H, wide turns, don’t use the brake unless you have to, let the sand slow you down. You’ll run closer to the waters edge but not in it for the more packed sand. Ease into the...
  3. Stock Diff Covers

Looked through all the pages. Does the AEV fit a stock Mojave with the 2” aev leveling kit? I see the note the Metalcloak will not fit a stock JT. Anyone run the front diff on a Mojave? Price difference between AEV and MC is wild.
  4. Opinions on actual labor vs. charged labor for a service at a shop.

That’s typical in a lot of work that I’m in as well. Some jobs have a set number of hours I get paid. If it’s a 10 hour job and I finish it in 7 I still get the 10 hours. Your paying for the skill in some aspects.
  5. Hard top or Soft top

    Premium soft group vote.
  6. 2,000+ Mile road trip coming up in July - What are your favorite quality-of-life upgrades?

Where OP will be accessing/exiting the beach there’s an air up station right there not even a quarter mile away. Don’t burn money on air up right now. You will need air down etc. Since this is about making the drive not driving on the beach… I’d bring my 12v fridge and jackery and pre make...
  7. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

Took the “gladiator” and “Mojave” stickers off the sides and off the hood. Will remove the smaller “Jeep” badges later. Put on my bestop ez roll tonneau cover, installed my Lange coyote mirrors for doors off time and completed 90% of my GMRS install, just need the antenna cable to arrive tomorrow.
  8. Rear View Mirror Delete ?

The easiest way to remove it is to do the following: Ensure top, windows, doors etc are installed and air tight. Run a hose from your exhaust pipe to the inside cab of the gladiator and use the heat from the hose to release the glue from the windshield. It might take a few minutes, but try to...
  9. Grrrrrr I should sell my jeep..

Depending how long you’re overseas, storing it isn’t a bad option. I’ve stored a truck for a year. If you store, look for climate controlled interior storage. I’d recommend putting some lubricant on some rubber/plastic parts before leaving. You can leave the weight on the wheels or slightly jack...
  10. Decked System - Pros and Cons

I had the decked system in my old ZR2, I enjoyed it for a few months then wished I didn’t have it. The storage pull out is nice to store things and leave it there. I used to keep wool blankets, MREs, etc for emergencies and still have plenty of other room. However I again wish I didn’t have it...
