Actually, it is just the opposite. Diameter is the bigger power killer vs. weight. Because it changes your gear ratio. Putting taller tires on has the same net effect as installing HIGHER gears in the axles.
Example: If you have 3.73 gears and really wish you had 4.10 - that's about a...
I plan on doing this end of summer so have no practical experience - but from what I've read and seen, those tires will fit Mohave and Rubicon with no modifications due to the wider axles.
I added a 1.5" leveling spacer to my Rubi up front just because I hate rake. Your Mohave already has this...
Missed opportunity to, not only add lights to the mirrors, but improve the overall mirror functionality on the Gladiator by making them a little bit wider.
Wider mirrors would improve visibility when towing or when backing up on the trail.
Also could have given more room to add 1 or 2...
All true. ( 'cept I never found myself straddling mine - YIKES!)
But anytime you're worried about a cable snap (either hand winch or electric for that matter) a good safety tip is to drape a floor mat over the cable. If it snaps, the weight will steer the force downward toward the ground...
For the longest time, I only had a hand winch in my trail vehicle. Granted it is a Wythe-Scott "mausoleum lifter" so not some cheesy "cum along". But still....slow AF!!! But I was amazed at the times it saved my (or somebody else's) ass. Still got it and use it occasionally around...
Agree. But is highly doubtful that any of those prefilter tops would clear the windshield in the back or the lights. Too bulky.
For the deuce n a half look....now something like this should clear.
(and before you say "I don't hate it"....know that you really should ;) )
(and ya I know...
Dude, do you know how long I re-read that sentence trying to figure out what the hell "cowbelling" was before finally giving up and scrolling down? Only to read this?
There's 5 mins of my life I'll never get back.
BL is a good winch. Nothing wrong with not wanting to pay double just so you can brag about the name at parties: "Well I've got the Warn Evo. Oh? You don't have one? Hmph."
As one who has been victim to this on more than one occasion I can guess it's probably Chinese IP theft. And it works like this:
You design a better mousetrap. You have a factory in China build it for you because it's way cheaper than having the components made in the USA. A year...
J2000 was my 1st back in the 70’s. Since then, just bout every Wrangler generation to come along. Then there’s the countless Cherokees for wives/GF’s.
now, just the Glad and an old CJ5 I use just for snow plowing
I don’t think I’ve ever NOT had a Jeep.
No way I could count them all.
I hear ya.
Anytime I post a bonehead mistake like “I turned right when I should’ve turned left“, there is always some dude on the forms who will reply with “that is why I NEVER turn right! I always make three lefts.”
A valuable skill to hone is training your brain to filter those people out...
Me personally? I don't believe one needs a driver's license to drive off-road. And I certainly don't believe one should have to pay $50 in order to use "public land"
So I'd probably be the guy right along side you. Whizzing by everyone else.
The could be a carrier problem. Have you confirmed it is carplay? e.g. have a friend or relative call and confirm the delay. then disconnect from carplay and have them call again to verify the delay is gone.
From their description of the problem and what causes it - it makes it sound inevitable. It's not a matter of "if" but "when" the teflon coating wears off that rocker arm. And when that happens - it's just a few hundred miles later you throw a CIL.
Yet, I also hear about people with over...
