Thank you. I think we throw the insulation liner in and test again this weekend. We'll see how the week goes. I'll keep everyone posted.
  2. Heating options in your tent (RTT or ground)

For anyone following along looking for Propex details, I have one test night in. It was a test of the limits of the heater. Pushing the boundaries ? https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/forum/threads/alaska-daily-drivers-hydro-blue-80a-and-bright-white-jtr.68100/post-1244867

Possibly ? Going to consider and review some options. May even test out a few. Wife, are you up for more chilly camping?

Hard to be shorter than that. The diesel heater setup I have is 16'.

Yeah, I'm thinking so, too. The hot duct is 5' and is made out of APK. I'm sure that since it's not insulated that there is some loss there. Good point!

Well, I'm a bit shocked. If you trust a propane gauge, we used less than half the 5lb tank. I'll need to pull it off the Jeep and pour some water on it to verify.

Lucky indeed. An extra body creating heat was a plus! ? I did expect that this heater would be ripping and it was, it just didn't translate to warmth. I would love to cold weather camp up north and see the Aurora in a completely dark environment. I love how it looks from my house. I can't...

First test of the Propex is still happening ? I'm in the tent, the furnace is running, it's cold outside, but I'm in the driveway so the Wi-Fi is awesome. ? The wife and I weren't prepared enough to get out on the road this weekend. It was the plan but with some extreme temperatures around, we...

I've added a table of contents to page 1 to help people navigate this build thread. First up, the poop pipe is done. Cut and painted brackets: Drilled the pipe and bolted it up to the brackets with 1/2” bolts and rubber washers: Stuffed the heater ducts inside (one duct is hard piping...

White Jeep update: The rear bumper we ordered to add the rear bumper sensors was sent to the wrong place. It's in Palmer, Kansas and not Palmer, Alaska. The vendor is working on it, but we're disappointed that they made the mistake and we had to catch it. The rock sliders just shipped, no ETA...

Thank you! Wanted double the wattage without covering the removable roof for those long Alaskan summer days. I slide the second panel out when we camp and then collapse for the road. ?
