Uconnect basically refers to the radio, to put it in simple terms. The uconnect 3 is the standard 5 inch screen. No Apple carplay, android auto or nav. On the sruface Uconnect kinda sounds like Onstar, but it isnt. It's a very basic bluetooth connected stereo.
If you can spring for the 7...

The link I put up is probably the single best resource for upgrading audio in these late model jeeps. It's quite the undertaking to do a full aftermarket install.
+1 on the front and back.
They are pretty nice, I just put them in last week. Can't speak for the weathertechs, but those are pretty well liked as well. I use them in the wifes car. My OEM have red lettering, which some may find off putting depending on exterior color. Mine is red, so no...
I'm pretty sure those are just the 1 inch tweeters. I also haven't heard of any white noise tech on these, why would you need it with the road noise?
OP,
I am also experiencing a "hiss" that seems to get louder with RPM. It's not the stereo or AC, it sounds like air to me. I'll keep an eye...
Congrats Jake!
I'm keeping an eye on the audio section of the forums for your stereo pursuits. I'm in the same boat, wating on install kits to drop.
BTW, I kinda like the basic wheels better than the tech silver on the sport S.
Lot's of jeeps in the beach town i live in. I get the same amount of waves I did in my JK. I give other Gladiators a real enthusiastic full kid wave, like a 5 year old waving at Mickey Mouse
Visually it looks great, can't say for performance yet. My dealer removed my factory liner when he heard of delay and it was about $50 bucks more w/ tax, so a negligible amount. Others on the forums have said aftermarket Line-X is about double the thickness of factory option.
Wait, I have a vague and cheeky understanding of the plywood thing. But you saying that Jake from State Farm is somehow at the root of this plywood gimmick?
I'm very, very pleased with the Rubicon wheels and tires I put on my sport. They go on with no issues.
Any sport owner should consider this very cost effective upgrade if they aren't happy with sport wheels.
I'll be perfectly honest. I'm first and foremost a casual Jeep guy, not a truck guy. But I'm seeing the daily utility of owning and using a truck. I'm oddly satisfied that I hauled plywood in anger, this forum certainly does invoke a bit of whimsy in that regard. A local roofing company was...
No worries, i grew up in Florida and have a healthy respect for these storms. Besides, me and the wife are full time national guard and will surely be called up for support somewhere in the state.
Everyone in the state be safe and be smart! And get pics of any gladiators up in the mix!
To be honest, I've always viewed the plywood thing as hilarious, but not something i would partake in.
Today, I was somewhat giddy picking up plywood to get my place and friends prepped for the storm.
So, any other Gladiators on storm duty, before, during and after post here!
