I’m afraid I can’t take the chance on fit. If it was a $50 part no big deal…. but.
The crazy thing is I already ordered one of those locks Sunday to see if I could do my own locking storage.
Sorry man I was hoping to have Mopar say it fit.
Good to know, but I don’t feel the need to know that particular fact strong enough to actually do it.
If I’m going out for a long trip I’ll fill my Rotopax at the last gas station. When I get enough miles to fit it in I’ll dump it into my tank. No sense driving too far with a full gas can...
I did pretty much the same thing - the only time I ever ran out of gas. Coasted down a freeway off-ramp into a gas station at the end of it. Whew! No pushing or hiking.
Do what makes you happy! If someone is willing to buy a Rubicon X for me they have the right to tell me how to appoint (or not appoint) it. Til then keep your jealousy to a minimum. LOL
Fuel flow cools the fuel pump. You don’t want to run too low as it can damage your fuel pump.
Years ago my friend with a BMW went through 5 fuel pumps because of running on empty all the time.
That’s another reason it is conservative.
My 24 Rubicon X has a matching spare tire so all that was needed was a matching wheel and TPS. Not bad. All the parts and work were done for around $400. But I like a 5 tire rotation and if/when I get a flat everything looks the same. I never was a fan of donut spares on cars.
