  1. US investigating 781K Jeeps over underhood fire reports (Wrangler & Gladiator) -- power steering pump electrical connector issue

I plan on wrapping the high power cables with better material than factory after seeing this.. I did this with the wiring harness next to the DPF on the diesels that seem to give problems just to prevent it from giving me electrical issues in the future as I plan on keeping the truck for a while...
  2. Towing update with the Diesel

it’s a couple mpg off when not on the stock power level. But I got 22mpg both fill ups hand calculated pulling the trailer in colorado
  3. Clayton Off Road JT Suspension Systems

yeah that’s perfect. Exactly the look I’m looking for with a 35. Thanks!
  4. Talk me off the ledge…

Cheapest option might be going back to stock size tires or maybe even 35s I’m sure would help if you’re planning to tow a lot. I haven’t had any issues towing 3500 lbs up 6% grades in mine with temps or de-rating. I don’t have a lift or bigger tires yet, but planning on some 35x11.5 and will see...
  5. Clayton Off Road JT Suspension Systems

Thanks for the pictures! I haven't seen this set up in person and seems most everyone puts 37s on but really don't want that big a tire. I was wondering if the Clayton lift would make the 35s look super small but I think it looks perfect from your pics! I really like the look of the extreme...
  6. Clayton Off Road JT Suspension Systems

Anyone here have the Clayton 2.5 inch lift with 35x11.5 tires? This is the route I'm planning down the road but would like to see some eye candy if anyone has it. Thanks!
  7. Talk me off the ledge…

Sounds like the big tires is what effects these the most. Cheapest option is probably to go with a smaller tire. More benefits across the board
  8. Talk me off the ledge…

What rpm are you cruising at? I just posted positive results towing 3500 lbs in my gladiator just below your post coming out of Phoenix and in Colorado. With 37s you might just be lugging the engine too much. If you haven’t maybe try keeping the transmission in manual mode and keep rpm’s above 2k
  9. Towing update with the Diesel

Thought I'd give an update on my gladiator while towing. We did a trip last week out of Phoenix to Colorado for some camping. Towed an airstream trailer that’s approx 3500 lbs. Started at roughly 105 degrees in Phoenix towing up the i17 with several 6% grades. Elevation started at roughly 1100...
  10. Storing my Gladiator for Several Years

If you can keep it out of the element's in a garage I say go for it if its what you want. I would however run the tank as close to empty as you can then if this is a gas we are talking about put fuel stable in the gas tank and then fill it full of ethanol free gas. Then I would drive it a few...
  11. Mopar factory trailer brake controller - my impressions and review

Awesome thanks for the reply! I cant really see a difference with ether harness by the pictures listed but does this look like the correct harness to get? https://a.co/d/art63Rc Also does this controller allow for manual breaking of the trailer by pushing in on the switch or is it limited to...
  12. Mopar factory trailer brake controller - my impressions and review

Looking to install this set up into my gladiator. Do you still like it, any issues? Also curious why you had to re-pin 2 wires and which ones are these your referring to? Thanks
  13. Towing Gas vs Diesel

I’d recommend to test drive one for yourself if you can, there’s really no comparison with fuel mileage and power especially after you tune it, these things move. Not to mention the diesel doesn’t sound like it’s going to blow up with such high rpm when you’re going up hills. Just my opinion but...
  14. well hello every one from time ago like a year Im on the third injection pump one year apart and turbo

This is why I’ll never take my vehicles to the dealer. To much incompetence with simple tasks let alone more complex stuff.. I don’t even care about the warranty or free oil changes as they won’t be touching it. A dealer did an oil change on a vehicle I purchased from them several years ago...

  16. Arizona WTB OEM steel front skid plate

Replaced my stock plastic bumper with the steel bumper but didn't realize the skid plate and fog lights are different. If anyone has one laying around in the Phoenix area let me know. Thanks!
