Remove skid plate from def tank. Then remove the 3 screws holding the pump in. Remove pump and let drain. will take about an hour to drain completely. Easy peasy.
From your picture it looks like only the first maybe 3 threads are damaged. I personally think this is from the tech cross threading during install. (maybe for the dealer to get more money from warranty work/parts, who knows)
But if you notice how far these sensors screw down before getting...
I didn’t take any videos. I posted a picture on page 3 of the mounting locations and electrical connections that need to be removed for the DPF to come out. The hardest part is getting to the electrical connections. I’d probably just remove the sensors from the DFP if I had to do it again...
This is what the DPF will look like removed.
The yellow circles show the 3 electrical connections that need to be disconnected. They are near the top of the transmission and do require some finesse to reach. You could also remove them from the DPF if it’s easier for you to access that way…
The...
I don’t really let anyone touch my vehicles if I can help it. To much incompetence and lack of attention to detail out there.
there actually wasn’t any issue with mine yet as it was brand new. I heard about this issue with a few other people so wanted to be proactive and prevent it from...
I found unbolting the exhaust from just before the rear axle and removing sections of it from there making your way to the front to be the simplest for one person and no lift.
There is another way to reach this location. Although it does require a few hours it’s much easier than pulling the body or engine out, and that’s to simply remove the DPF to gain access.
After purchasing my new gladiator I immediately installed an added layer of protection to hopefully...
I'd do the stage 2 now and if something major happens and you have to take it to the dealer just put it back to stock. Would only take a few hours if you cap everything off and don't cut things. Just my opinion.
Those aren’t much bigger than an LJ so I think it would be a fine option for it. 4bt is cool, had one in a LJ as well, but gets annoying after a while.
If you’d be willing to ship the oil and filters to Arizona I’d take it. If not I may have a family member passing through your area tomorrow. I’ll let you know
The R2.8 Cummins I think would be a bit small for the gladiator. I did the conversion to an 05 rubicon LJ and it’s a good upgrade for that size vehicle though.
Purchased directly from WeatherTech. I'll end up returning these, sad they are going to a universal fit to save money on their end as it just doesn't look right with the factory rock sliders.
I did check Summit's website and shows they have 3 in stock and they appear to be the original design...
can you tell me what part number your front mud flaps are? I received a set weathertech says are for the rubicon but they have a larger opening for what looks like a step. Yours look like they fit only the rock sliders which is what I was expecting. Thanks!
