I just put this on my truck a couple weeks ago, but I will probably be switching back to my hard top this weekend. It's a great top, so why am I selling it? I think I was a little delusional as to how compatible my lifestyle is with a soft top jeep. I have a long freeway commute and the extra...
It’s simple to do, just takes a little time because there are about 7 straps connecting the rear panels and window to the rest of the top. You have to disconnect those and unvelcro the rest so it’s free to fold forward. As long as you knew what you were doing, it could be done in under 5 minutes.
I'll try to get that, although with some real winter weather finally coming to AZ it might be a while (or I'll put the hard top back on in which case I'll get a pic of it folded up).
So far I am really digging the look and functionality of the top. It does get loud at highway speeds (65+)...
The Rubicon will go everywhere the Mojave will go, it just won’t be as fast getting there or nearly as comfortable. And your JTR will high center before you get to test the limits of your front locker and ESD.
Technically yes, but with the damage being so minor it would probably be hard to establish depreciated value. And trying to negotiate that might be difficult, usually that is attorney territory.
My JKU got totaled from a rear end a couple months ago by an RV. I was actually surprised the damage wasn't a lot worse considering I was hit by 50,000 lbs, but the spare tire on the Wrangler is like extra armor for rear end collisions. Still, it was enough to total it and now I am driving a...
I had to make some adjustments to the top today and as suspected you can fold/tuck the back end up under the sunrider so that it all rests over the soundbar (same design as the JL). I don’t know what it would be like to drive like that and it isn’t a super quick procedure because you are...
I test drove both the Rubicon and Mojave when I purchased. The lot had several Rubicons but only one Mojave so I probably am not being honest if I said the relative rarity of the Mojave didn't appeal to me on some level. That being said, I can't see myself taking a Gladiator through the kind...
What size did you get and how was the install? Leaving for work this morning I noticed multiple rock chips on my door hinges so I’d like to get some.
But the rivnuts you linked to on Amazon are different, they don't have the teeth or groves to latch on to the back of the bed under compression(nutserts?) as shown in the video. So how are they supposed to be used? I lightly tapped them into place with a ball peen hammer, but is that supposed...
So I ordered these up from Amazon for my install, but I’m a little confused what to do with them. They are completely smooth and don’t have any grooves to grip the bed like a normal rivet nut. I can slide them into top hexagonal hole under some pressure, but what’s going to hold it in firmly...
It doesn't fold all the way back like the factory top. The sunrider will retract back over the front seats and as you can see in my third pic it lays pretty flat on top. The back portion should be able to be unclipped and folded forward to be tucked underneath the sunrider over the soundbar as...
Haven't tried that yet, waiting for the fabric to stretch and conform a bit before I start taking it off! But I don't see why that wouldn't be the case considering I lifted the whole top onto the jeep basically in that configuration. After the sunrider assembly, the rest of the top attaches...
