Since there seems to be some experts on this topic, how do insurance companies pay out taxes on a new vehicle purchase replacement? I know that law is on the books in AZ, but when I asked my adjuster about it she said they didn’t pay that. They did pay out residual tax on my totaled vehicle.
Well I opted for some grip tape. It’s not perfect, but I think it looks way better than a scratched up bumper plus it’s functional! Hopefully it holds up over time, but I have a 30 foot roll of it so it wouldn’t be too big of a deal to reapply from time to time.
Thanks, I found an older thread of someone asking the same question and the Mopar parts # for the hardware. I just added it to my order because I needed all the bezels and brackets for the parking sensors
Happy with the bumper and I’ve started adding on the Ruby bedsliders as well. But I was...
I ended up taking it in because I recently discovered a small leak in the back window of the hardtop. New body mount is on order from the dealer.
Between this, the leaking rear window and the broken power mirror on the driver side when I first bough the truck...I hope this is not a sign of...
I still need to put the passenger side on so I might try that method and compare the difference (I installed the driver side according to the instructions).
Pretty happy with the XL/Original. Definitely glad I didn't go with the longer ones, I think they would have been way too long. With...
I was out hitting the dirt last Friday and I was noticing the same thing on the front end. I was getting a definite thud going over some pretty mild stuff at a not so fast speed.
Stock tires? I just ordered the XL/Original for the front only. Hoping that minimizes the rock chips on the rear fenders and door hinges. Good thing I don't have painted fenders lol.
That is certainly possible, in which case it holds very little fluid. It only leaked for about 2 days and not much came out. I've seen a motor mount make much more of a mess than this.
Well the leak has definitely stopped. I might just keep an eye on it and have the dealer look at it when I get my first oil change in a couple months. A body mount with a very small leak sounds like it could wait for a bit.
This is at the rear of the cab, nowhere near the engine.
I have an appointment for my dealer to look at it Friday, although when I checked this morning it appeared as if the leak had stopped and there was no fresh drip in my garage.
Leaking hydraulic mount sounds plausible, especially since I’ve had problems with those in the past lol. (Motor mounts failed prematurely on our WK2).
Probably not many of these have been replaced so hopefully dealer doesn’t act dumb if that is the solution.
Here is probably the best angle...
I know it isn't the rear shock, I said it was in front of it as a point of reference.
I am about 100% certain it is oil. It feels and smells like oil and its leaving an oil stain on my garage floor :)
Yeah, I plan to take it the dealer this week. I'll report back what they find. Seems like the leak is coming from elsewhere and draining down on the inside of the hold down cushion.
