The brands I use to use were Mobile 1 ,Amsoil and Rotella. I switched to Royal Purple after I started doing friction and heat test with different oils with different viscosities.

It wasn't the brand of oil that changed the temp. 2 and 3/4 quarts drained versus 5 and 1/2 quarts added. But, the 3 quarts that were missing was causing the overheating. Something is fishy here but, it's not me! ?

Previous owner leased it for 2 years, then upgraded to a Mojave. I bought it for $47,000 from the jeep dealer.

Before I did an oil change in my JT my running oil temp was 295°F-334°F. Previous owner used regular oil in this JT. At 44,000 miles I changed to 0w-20 Royal Purple premium full synthetic oil. Running oil temp now 170°F-204°F. My coolant and transmission temps are running cooler also. I have...

With the auto start/stop active it caused a misfire in cylinders 2,4,6. After clearing the codes and deactivating auto start/stop no misfire. I've tested this twice now just to be sure.

I had the same problem but, solved it with RV rubber gaskets rejuvenator. I've used this on other vehicles door gaskets for years now. I only retreat once a year.

Fixed the overheating problem. Replaced air filter old one was so caked with dirt and debris. No wonder its overheating,changed oil added full synthetic,low antifreeze added more. The Jeep dealer I bought from said they checked all fluids that was a lie, they said they did a full diagnostic scan...

Who ever worked on mine last tighten the bolt too much and cracked the plastic on both sensors. I'll solve the overheating problem next.

Their made in Japan at least that is what is on mine

I've got 43,367 miles on my 2020 Overland. I've got a P0300 code as well. But,I dug a little farther Camshaft and crankshaft sensor faulty and the engine has been overheating. Just bought this jeep on 02/14/23.
