Unless they have made some major changes in Optima batteries, your problems will continue. Optima used to be a great battery untile they moved their factories from the US to Mexico, I don't know if it is QC issues but they changed their warranty from 4 years to 2 yearsl My last two yellow...
Why 4.88 for 35s? thats over gearing, will help performace wise but MPG will take a hit. 4.56 is the usual gear ratio for 35s. Even the 35" tire package from Jeep has 4.56
I know 4 others who have Jeep eco diesels, two with 37s and two with 35's like m and one who has a Ram1500 eco diesel running 37s The Ram outperforms all of us on MPG, no issues with de rating when towing and such. Can only talk about what I've experienced and what others I know have told...
So I now have 60k miles on my JTRD. When stock i got 26+ MPG. With current set up, 35" tires, camper, etc, I'm lucky to exceed 21 mpg highway at 65mph. 75mph is more like 14-15 mpg.
I think these numbers are pretty much average in talking to other diesel owners.
I don't know anyone who has a JT on 37s with stock gears that gets any better than about 12mpg.
Just don't see those numbers at all credible considering you lose 7th and probably 8th gear with that set up so those big MPG numbers just don't add up.
No I did not talk to them about winch supported factory bumpers or if it would work with a winch installed because unfortunately I have an aftermarket bumper. I'm guessing that it would work with the factory winch bumper without the winch as I think it was designed so that the bumper would...
I saw Tate Jeep in MD offering 8k discounts on Gladiators, but only 4 on Wranglers. I understand the JT market is soft probably why and they have excess inventory.
The small wattage inverter in the back is basically worthless. Not worth the money. They should do like Ford did and put one in that can power a house.
Your JTD will never get built and your dealer knows that. The ongoing recall with the diesel od which not one diesel has been fixed is the issue. There are no parts to fix the issue and there is no date as to when parts will be available. As for towing, I have a JTRD and it tows well on flat...
Unfortunately Jeep didn't leave much room to do anything else. A cooler under the vehicle was tried and worked goos but the chances of damage off road were too great. They had the same issues with the 392 but they were able to overcome some of them and add the costs into that $100k Jeep. When...
Ok I talked in length with Bullet Proof Diesel last night over the phone. After nearly 2 years of design, development and testing the best solution they could come up with is a secondary cooling system for the oil. With a stock diesel JT towing a 5500lb trailer they were able to go from 45...
All I can tell you is that the fact that they sold out all their inventory in one day says people don't think the price is too much. I have 7000 hard towing miles on mine towing 3500lb trailer from AZ to the east coast and points in between. No distortion of the plates due to heat,l and my...
There is a kit to really make the vents functional and keep water off. You can open them up all you want but if the insulation is cut around them then they are in no way functional. Now you will still debate on the steep long climbs but not as bad as before. Made my temps 10 to 15 degrees...
I can only tell you they took my JTRD in and spent a day on it. Decided they needed one full time so they bought one. Summer temps last year turned into fall and winter. They've tried a number of things with limited success. As of last month they were still working on it. Honestly I'm...
The company working on a radiator solution is Bullet Proof Diesel.
The Hood Vent conversion is https://www.facebook.com/OTBDesignFab/ I met them at the Moab EJS, they had completely sold out of product, ordered one the next week and installed it right away, I now have over 6,000 miles with...
