My 2 centavos 2023 or newer only because Jeep made an attempt to address hinge corrosion by placing zinc shims underneath the hinges. Seems to be working compared to my 2020 wrangler which Jeep bought back in 2022 for excessive corrosion.
I had a 2013AEV rubicon with the heat reduction hood and noticed a 25 degree temp difference compared to my buddies stock rubicon. Which worked well in the Florida heat.
I’m on the beach surf fishing 4 to 5 times a week. part of my routine is to rinse it after each use. No corrosion or rust so far. Waiting for the tide to come In. Even jeeps get stuck. She had to use 4 flipper high to get off the beach after dumping the kids off
There’s a duck explosion on the beach they’re unavoidable. I don’t mind so much, my 3 y/o granddaughter loves to play with them in the pool. I prefer my Filipina hula girl who reminds me of Subic Bay. Oh so many years ago………
Doc.
Finished my hurricane prep, a couple of “tourists“ relocated to St. Augustine beach courtesy of hurricane Matthew. Couldn’t find the Professor or Mariann. The fearless crew was lost.
As a Risk Manager, dash cams/gps has saved our butts many more times than bit them. I have one in my Mojave and it has been useful in tracking pods of mermaids cruising the beach.
I’ve always had jeeps ranging from CJ-5 (you can fix anything with a half inch or 9/16) to a Mojave. So I can’t say the one Jeep I’d like to have back is my 1978 Cherokee chief 401.
I’m surf fishing 3-4 times a week and the Mojave is so much easier hauling the surf cart and rods (Not to mention grandkids) than my former wrangler. Just remember to carry your emergency rod/reel with you for all those wonderful lakes up there.
