I’ve had 4x4s from a variety of brands and when I had my Taco my opinion was that nearly everyone on the forums thought themselves an engineer and amazingly basic stuff was way over-analyzed. The newest truck is having some teething issues but the past gens were quite solid.
You’re not going to overheat a diff on anything short of full trophy truck stuff and the t-case has power going through it any time you are in motion so you aren’t saving anything by running it in 2wd. The 4H/4L debate can be a bit two sided-
Mechanically I’d say 4L for anything beyond the most...
Several brands offer kits to go from their light to the factory harness but it is usually ones designed to go in place of the OE lights. Does your bumper have cutouts for OE-style fogs or are you looking to mount something else? Off the top of my head I think Diode Dynamics and Baja Designs have...
I realize this is off topic and an old post but that’s the Arcus bumper, right? How did you get traditional shackle mounts instead of those overstyled things it shows on the site?
The dealer will look for any reason to deny your claim and if it makes it to Jeep, they can make your life miserable fighting it. If it is a factory warranty, many of us signed arbitration agreements when we bought our trucks (knowingly or not) which works in their favor. Regardless, they have...
Did you end up buying one from them? I really like the look except it appears the fog lights are angled outward which I feel like would really reduce their functionality.
I can't imagine it has changed. There are basically two LED types on these trucks- the 4 bolt type from plastic bumpers and the 2 bolt one for trucks with OE metal bumpers which I believe you have. That has been the same mount all along, I think even back to the JK days.
Back when DRLs first started showing up and up till LEDs began getting used, it was quite common for manufacturers to use high beams at half voltage for the DRL. But with modern lighting it would be rough. It’s why when you see especially Toyota and Subaru vehicles with chinajunk LEDs swapped in...
On mine I took both leads from my Diode Dynamics fogs with this feature, tied them together and used a solder shrink wrap connector to a wire gauge the next size up and ran that to #4.
I have these on order. Obviously can't offer feedback on them yet but the reviews seem solid.

Could it be a rolling change where say the 2024 and early 25 bedside gets phased out? Like if you looked up my 24 would the original bedside be available still or has it superseded?
I doubt it. We have a couple Subarus at work that actually display the volume of fuel saved and after having them since late 2022 the number is laughably small. The response time to start it is unacceptable on this and basically anything that doesn't use a starter/generator so I disable it every...
Try some WD40 or PB Blaster and some vice grips. I get liking the look but leave them off until you need them and if you are actually buying them for function, get rid of that chinese junk that's gonna shatter and kill someone and buy US-made ones like Crosby.
Still a garbage system. Any system that uses the conventional starter takes too long to fire the engine up. The E-Torque system and ones like it that use a starter/generator which runs way faster is far superior, but I'd still disable it every time. When I hit the accelerator, I expect to move...
