Second update. Jeep Cares is 100% useless. Dealer won’t give loaners or claims not to have them. Jeep won’t humor authorizing a rental unless the truck is already there. I can’t keep taking time off from work for this nonsense. I’m going to end up paying for a rental and hoping this garbage...
Dealer addressed/tired to address several issues Monday.
Faulty wheel bearing replaced. Making a ton of noise.
Parking brake barely worked so they adjusted it.
Speakers in soundbar rattle. Part is on forever backorder.
Replaced t case input seal. Still leaks. Worse than before.
I love the...
I have the entire northeast saved to my phone for this reason on Apple Maps. Google allows the same. Even brand new factory nav is hopelessly outdated.
So further listing this morning proved I didn’t solve it. Poked around some more and noticed that it felt like the screw bottomed out in the thread insert before the grill was secure. Borrowed a handful of poly washers from work and put those between the grill and soundbar. Now you can feel the...
I don’t know how different the pre-2024 soundbar is but I just found loose map lights on mine that I thought was a blown speaker. Tightened that and the sound seems good again!
I have a 2024 Mojave and it had been at the dealer for numerous issues Monday and one of these was I heard rattling like a blown speaker from what I thought was the subwoofer (I have the Alpine stereo). The service manager said the tech tested and found the noise was actually the soundbar, not...
Obviously I can’t be sure without measurements but it sorta looks right to be M-Lok, an accessory mount on rifles. For a phone or camera mount you could probably adapt something from that. Assuming I’m correct about the rail anyhow.
Both the new lights and my fog lamps (Diode Dynamics) have an amber backlight wired to one of the auxiliary switches. The KCs light up white and the fog lamps are actually amber which has been great in fog/rain/snow.
I’ve had the lights and brackets (bought from someone called HazardSky on Etsy) for a bit but haven’t had time to work on installing them. The brackets tucked into existing spots on the frame. I pulled my grill to do them but you can also probably loosen the bumper and get them in too. I need to...
Visited the dealer this morning. Turns out it is the transfer case input seal which they didn’t have. And I also have a bad wheel bearing up front that I just assumed was choppy tires. Parts should be in next week. Annoyed the Jeep had all this when so new but the dealer was good to me at least...
If you’re gonna DIY it then do your thing but adding anything non-factory is only gonna confuse the entry level kid they have changing oil. I know how to use a wrench so I’ve never seen the value in this but to each their own I guess.
Hi Benny,
I don’t have anything planned (at the moment!) but for something big like this, is in person pickup possible? Long Island isn’t too terribly long a drive for me and to save that much would be worth it if I ever pull the trigger on a lift or other bulky stuff.
