So when I’m all done should I just drive it to the alignment shop like this or lengthen the upper rear control arms to straighten out the driveshaft / pinion first?
Well I do have all 8 adjustable control arms. I guess what’s annoying is I’ve measured and installed them to the exact lengths specified for a 2.5” lift by Clayton. I don’t understand why I’m so far off given they’re set per the instructions
Is it because the springs are new and haven’t settled...
Sorry I’m not not good at this or explaining. I want the drive shaft to be pointed at the center of the pinion hole not coming in at an angle. Yes the front of the Jeep is super low in this picture. Does that affect what I’m looking at? I’m installing the lift on the front as we speak and will...
Yeah I guess I’m not sure If when I lift the front tomorrow and then get it on flat ground if the pinion angles will be all better or if I need to adjust the rear control arms to fix it. I measured like 5 times and all 4 rear arms are exactly what is notated in the Clayton lift documentation...
hmm. Well I do have all adjustable control arms. I set them to the length specified in the Clayton lift, lengthening the uppers should rotate it back more right? I’m just not sure if it’s off because I’m in my driveway or because the rear is way higher than the front while half installed.
Hmm I have the same kit installed on my wrangler without issues, is it possible that I need to Hold the pinion at the correct angle with a jack while I tighten down the control arms? They’re still loose.
Hello. Got the back half of my Clayton 2.5” overland plus lift kit installed and noticed the rear pinion angle seems way off. Is this because I haven’t installed the front half of the lift yet? Or the slight driveway slope? Pretty sure I got the measurements right of the control arms.

Well, the stock control arms, shock bolts, track bar bolts, steering dampener bolts etc do not use red thread locker from the factory. These bushings do go bad and need replacement eventually too, that's why I wasn't thinking red.
Installing a Clayton 2.5" Overland Plus lift kit this weekend, does everyone just use Loctite 242 on jam nuts etc? Would 243 be better? Obviously I'm not doing Red. Any other tips?
Hello, Currently I have a stock Rubicon Gladiator sitting on 35" BFG KO2s and with the memorial day says I'm looking at pulling the trigger on some stuff.
Options.
Looking at the Clayton Overland plus lift kits in either 2.5 or 3.5"
I would like to continue to run my 35's for a year or so...

I don’t really know what’s going on but I feel super cramped in my 2022 Gladiator Rubicon compared to my wife’s 2022 Wrangler High Tide….by a lot. I put the seats all the way back in both but It feels like I have a lot less room even though I heard the seats go back 1.5” further in the...
