Yup, I just dug out my FCA control number and it says, "up to 1% below factory invoice when you purchase or lease a new U.S. Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep® , Ram or FIAT ® vehicle." It says a new vehicle, not select vehicles. So while it says "up to 1%", the terms still apply to a new vehicle and not...
The affiliate pricing I have from being a member of tread lightly states invoice -1% if I remember correctly. I would have to go into my filling cabinet and find the stuff but I am fairly certain that is what it is so I am not sure where the -5% came from other than just a few people...
To top it all off, as I was leaving, I asked him if they had sold any yet (because they had a red sport on lot) and he said yup, 3 of them at 3-5k above sticker -.-
About a month ago, Jeep Concierge emailed me asking if I still wanted my Gladiator shipped to dealership X. So I called my salesman and asked if they were still going to honor FCA affiliate pricing, with the response of "Yes." I didn't see any reason to change my shipment. So today, while I was...
The end of that article is talking about that 1000 hp engine mod saying its 1000 hp (1600kW)... uh what? 1 hp is roughly .75kw, how the hell did they screw that up?
I ordered a bright white too and mine has been in d1 status for about 20 days (it only stays in d1 for 30) but people are reporting JB (spray in bed liner) has stopped just about every order in its tracks so I am hoping mine gets shipped this month, but I doubt it.
Ordered my LE april 3rd, went D status april 18th (may have been earlier but that was when I contacted jeep to ask and was so excited at having a VIN and D status I didnt ask for the date) and got D1 may 17th. My build sheet got posted today so I am hoping that means they are getting ready to...
Are you just pinging jeep daily for updates? My build sheet finally got posted on the build tracker thread but other than the 2 times I contacted jeep and got my D and D1 status, I havent seen or heard of any other way to monitor that.
The high inflation numbers may be for the gradual improvement on fuel economies by automakers. While there are diminishing returns, typicaly a 1 psi increase in tire pressure CAN result in 3-10% fuel economy improvement. My JK is slightly over inflated at the moment, since I havent deflated them...
Did you check your fuel cap? I kid you not this was an error that my JK threw a few times and it was caused by the fuel cap not being tightened all the way down. It blew my mind when I pulled the error code, googled it, and the solution was reset the fuel cap...
My '15 jku has a manual and you dont need to override the clutch to start it. 4lo was programmed to be able to start in gear. So its even easier to put a remote start in if you park in 4lo or just add a switch that makes the jeep think it's in 4lo.
If it provides an 8 psi boost at 4k+ rpms, I would expect the same performance as it is on the JL. Mid 300s for torque, and high 300s for hp. Fuel economy wise, I dont think it will do quite as well as a JL since the truck is heavier. So I would suspect like maybe 23 or 24 hwy, 19 city and like...
Wait, they made a Wrangler-esque truck that is fording depth was based on its electronics?!?!? What? My celphone can survive at 6 ft for 30 minutes and I personally put di-electric grease on all electrical ends for the systems on my jet ski for submersion so that seems like kind of a cop out.
*Facepalm* goes to show how often I interact with those. My JKU has 2x ARB twin compressors plumbed into the frame with a standard 1/4 inch automotive NPT coupled sticking out of the bumper and just use a water separator or a 7 gal drainable air tank prior to filling tires or running air tools.
Chrysler announced today that they would end production of internal combustion engines by the year 2040. If they hold true to that, will it be electric jeeps or hydrogen jeeps? Would you guys buy an electric jeep? Those batteries are going to be heavy for sure (I developed a method to grow...
I would love a diesel too, but since I saw more than one report of some of the bearings in the engine exploding at 150k miles and causing significant engine damage. Yea that's a hard pass for me. Besides diesel usually costs way more and is less available at gas stations in addition to the...
