The JL/JT hinges are the the same.
I can't help with the chips, but once you fix them I would add a PPF to them. I just got these in the mail so I haven't installed them, but they look well made.

I've not installed one on a manual vehicle, but I've used the Fortin Evo one for years up until my last couple of vehicles that came with remote start. I always prefered The Evo as I hated having a second remote, you just have to hit the lock button 3 times.
The Evo one shows how to install on...
I forgot to mention, I didn't pull the cowl off, but everything underneath appears to be painted. There might be a couple of bolts you could pull off and find ground though.
So I don't know why it didn't occur to me but when I opened the hood to take some measurements I remembered that the main set of ground studs are right on the other side of the fender.
I did take measurements to a couple of other spots though. Where my red test lead is I got 2ohms to...
This is the primary reason I did the antenna mod. That and the fact that I only stream from my phone, I don't listen to the radio at all.
Just an FYI, the redline struts do have quick release tabs on the bottom ball mount, so you can still throw the hood back pretty easily.
That looks great!
Those are exactly the wheels and tires I am planning on running.
Do you know how the weight compares to the stock Mojave wheels and Falken A/T? All I can seem to find are shipping weights which I don't think are what the parts actually weigh.
Added some under hood lighting:
I used a tilt switch from another random vehicles light I found at napa.
The lights are a pair of the Harbor Freight rock lights.
It's funny, I didn't really look at the other stuff in there but that's so true, just rediculous.
I can't imagine either being that desperate for a car and the money to not care at all or just too stupid to notice you're being raked over the coals.
I don't think they would, it doesn't look like those screws make good contact with anything other than the paint.
I could be wrong wrong though, I'm basing that on pictures from this thread...
I'd say at this point I'd call Baja tech support and see what they say. Outside of a loose connection or bad ground, which doesn't seem likely it really seems to me that the light itself is shutting itself down for some reason.
That is strange. Aren't they both running off the same Aux 3 switch?
The jeep couldn't shut off only one, it would have to be both. It almost seems like it's a voltage issue idling and the lights have some smarts or voltage sensing built in.
Just the one light?
I'd probably check and make sure all your connections are solid.
I will say that with the Baja harness you have an extra switch, relay and fuse you don't need so there is a lot that could be an issue.
If you aren't comfortable cutting up the Baja harness though it's...
