I'm diggin' the color-matched top, and everything is much shinier. Did you ceramic coat all the paint?
Could you fit some panoramic windows in the top, or will the fabric sides be in the way?
I've used the GB40 on everything up to my F250 with the 6.8 V10 with a completely dead battery and my C4500 with the 8.1 liter (gas), and they have started. I am very impressed. Another plus with these is if you have to jump-start someone else, no hassles with positioning vehicles for the jumper...
Dang those are awesome! Great, I try and help, and now it is going to cost me $500
It is nice they come color-matched, that sure saves some hassle.
No power lift as the hard sides will fold 'up' into position, so not attached to the roof. The roof is 84mm composite (FRP-foam-FRP), which weighs 1.9 pounds per Sq.Ft. so just a touch over 50 pounds total for the horizontal part. No problem for me, but I'll add some gas struts if someone...
I had ordered my Paramount Guardian bumper from Vicious Offroad. They are the retail outlet branch of Paramount, and had the Guardian, when it was back-ordered/out of stock, everywhere else. They have free shipping...
Simple enough to check. Have a thin balsa dowel attached to both the cab and the bed and see if it breaks after 'extreme' wheelin'. Even more, data if you have a GoPro attached to watch that area of the truck. This would not only give you peace of mind (and perhaps save a ton of 'reinforcing')...
I think you should spend some effort investigating IF that is really a problem or not. I've seen a bunch of videos of Gladiators in full cross-up, and have never seen that body line out of line.
The @Krag 'Jeep Wagoneer' is a perfect example. Here is someone that has built and test the concept...
No need for them to 'stretch' it as it is very close to the perfect length for you to leave the front freedom panels on. The length of the bed to the back of cab, is 1727 mm, the back of the cab to the front freedom panels is 1016 mm, for a total of 2747 mm. They list the top as 2815 mm, so...
I have a Paramount Guardian Front Bumper (mid-width), so stamped not welded style, and love it. Very nice quality with great welds. And yup, that certainly seems to be a good price, especially for a full-width bumper.
Well if you want to stick with the JEEP marque, but still want headroom, you could go for this.
If you are willing to change marques, you can get smaller
or even a wee (Scottish Pun intended) bit smaller
No problem. I am sure there will be a bunch of non-hood scooped guys/gals that will be willing to trade you straight across for your Mojave hood and cowls. ;)
Roger that, on anything over 37" not fitting in the stock area (a good place to add a 2nd fuel tank ;) ). One thing that is keeping me at 35" is a 'light' wheel/tire combo. My C4500 has 385/65R-22.5 (42"x15.5") on Alcoa rims with a combined weight of 228 lbs, and my MB1017 has 395/85-20...
