I weighted mine before the accessorizing began
It seems Jeep is pretty spot on with their published weight of 5050-5072 lbs for a Rubicon.
Configuration - 2021 Gladiator, Rubicon, V6 Pentastar, Auto, 3-piece Hardtop, stock (not 'steel') bumpers, full fuel (22gl @6.3lbs per, 138 lbs)

As I am biased towards FRP/Foam panels since that is what I have and am building with, you can bend the panels by cutting kerfs (just like woodworking) to have radiused corners HERE .
Of course, the radius is dependant on the thickness of your panels. I am using 84mm panels (extreme climate...
Man building panels is quite ambitious. Of course, if you have the skills to work with aluminum you probably have the skills to work with fiberglass and foam (I try and keep my 'builds' to Legos).
Here are a couple of long threads from the Expo Portal of a couple of self-built panels using...

Yup, those square/vertical sides would be exponentially easier to build and aline with both the bed and top. Plus it gives it a little more of a dedicated 'Expo Look' instead of an SUV look.
I haven't need to do this on my Gladiator, but on my old FJ40, I did it all the time and highly recommend using a strap to hold it against the windshield frame if you are outside in case a gust of wind decides to try and close it on you. :surprised:
In regards to 'mirrors' as you are listed as 'Las Vegas' it would appear that regardless of which of the 3 states that could be in, you are AOK with just your center mirror as long as that view is not blocked.
Nevada:
Revised Statutes Title 43 Chapter 484D Code 430 - § NRS 484D.430

Just chiming in as I have a Diamondback cover on my F250 and absolutely love it. Super easy to install and remove, rock-solid construction with wonderful build quality. They don't advertise them as 'watertight', but I have never had an issue with stuff in the back and rain.
Disclaimer - no...
Perhaps just a bit of a 'flair' at the end to blend with the length of the Icarus? Kind of like what the SpaceKaps have.
OR if you can pull off a 'barndoor', then have an enclosure at the top that holds a rollout awning to blend the lengths of the top and sides?
I like Option 4 (ya, I know, not on the menu)
Low roof with freedom panels. I'm very bias not so much for being able to remove them (although pretty cool to be able to have a roofless & doorless camper just because the 'other guys' can't do that) but I have a buddy that has spent the last 5+...
