Seems better to leave it, replace the main with a more powerful AGM close to 100Ah, then setup an external dual in the bed in some sort of case for the fridge, and put another big AGM in there, cheaper too. That's my plan at least.
I ran one of these in my GX460/Prado 150, the standard-non adjustable version. While Jeep isn't listed, it might be worth an email to them and starting up a conversation as to what they've seen over there in Aussie-land, pretty sure whatever is there is here tech wise on these trucks...
Just went through this myself. The dealer had a shop they used and went through to get it fixed. It took 2 trips, but it's good to go now nevertheless. It's an annoyance and something that should just be right to begin with that wasn't.
To follow up and revive my thread, the shop that the dealer chose to do the fix did the work, yet managed to mess up more than they fixed, and I got my Gladiator back with more issues than when I dropped it off. I won't get into it all, but my question is should I let the dealer, or Chrysler...
Nice ride… I get it, and point taken. Good to know it can be done yes. But do I have faith in “the process” at this point after all their BS and the dealer’s run around; absolutely not. If I don’t have a choice and get proven wrong then that’s on me. I hope that’s the case. Just not the...
I found the TSB and have read it as well, and feel that’s valid on flat or easier to work surfaces, but on a folded/rolled edge, how exactly does that get sanded? And the TSB also says repair and repaint if possible, and if not feasible, then replace.
So no knowing that there's an actual TSB after the dealer I've been fiddle-f*cking with explicitly said they've never heard of anything, truly douses the fire with more gas.
Open a case with Chrysler/JeepCares here and best of luck. The science of things is cool to a point sure, but after a...
So the GM called me back and spoke from both sides of his mouth. One on hand he says "we're just a distributor and franchise, so we don't pay for the actual warranty, Chrysler does, so we don't decide what to cover or not" yet then on the other hand says that he is absolutely not a franchise in...
Sorry to hear that man, I'll keep you posted what I hear. I just got a call from the dealership Sales GM and the normal GM is supposed to be giving me a call later after some meetings. If he can make it right and will replace the hood I'll be happy, but yeah Dulles Motorcars in Leesburg is...
I'm not really sure but I don't have a say where it gets done; I was told we use this shop, go here for your estimate. I've called another dealer and I'd be surprised if I get a call back from dealer #1's manager, but let's hope I'm wrong.

So I'm running into a major issue with my local Jeep dealer (Brown's Dulles Jeep - Dulles, VA). On my 2020 Gladiator Rubicon there is notable rust spots on the hood on both edges of the hood. After taking it in for a warranty claim and following their instructions...
Thanks but I don't want to go that route for now unless it ends up being the only ones available; in which case I'll run it as it comes forever and blow it out with a compressor ;)
What's everyone using and from where? K&N aside, and considering stock is back-ordered locally here, looking at Amazon and other alternatives. I've already spent half a day calling and driving around looking for one and no dice, never thought it would be such a challenge
Where is this rivet tool available at? I used the manual one with their kit and it doesn't hold great, so I need to get the better tool and go up a size on all 4 bolts and nutserts as well.
Mine's got it too, discovered numerous spots this weekend on both sides - 2020 JTR. One dealer told me that Chrysler was allowing subbed out work to body shops back 6mo ago, but now wants the work done in-house at dealer body shops. So message left... standby
