I made the assumption that we were talking about Rubicons. The e-disconnect isn’t the most reliable thing in the world so i also like to install quick disconnects for the eventual failure
Keeping my JTR LE stock until about January when I plan to add a 2.5” lift from on e of AEV, MetalCloak, or Icon. It would have been done already if they all had full offerings ready now.
I’m still debating 35 vs 37” mainly because I plan to tow 6500# twice a year. I had a 4.5” lift and 37s...
As a cynical owner of now my third Rubicon, I am considering quick disconnects just because that stupid disconnect mechanism WILL fail one day when you want to use it. I don’t see how it helps with a lift though.
I had this happen on my 2010 JK 2dr Rubicon. It went into limp mode and I barely got it to the dealer. They diagnosed it to a faulty sway bar disconnect module. I ran that thing through deep water quite a few times.
I should have been clearer. I too have noticed hot air coming out of the vents when set to 60 on days where the ambient temp is 30-40. Is it unintuitive? Yes, but it also makes some sense to me.
The more I think about this, the more sense it makes that it does this. The heating system is setting the ambient cabin temperature to the temp you select. In situations where the cabin is below 60, it has to heat the air to reach that temp. “Low” just likely blows the coldest air the system...
I had both an F350 and a JKU (2nd Jeep I’ve owned) and only one spot in the driveway, but I have to occasionally tow our travel trailer. I will always own a Jeep. So I them both and bought a GCM LE off a lot nearby. The gladiator scratches two itches for me.
Could you elaborate on why it’s your front runner? I’ve been heavily researching lifts and was very happy with my previous AEV lifted JK, but I can’t find anything about what they’re going to offer for the JT. I know I want a bushing-based system over heim joints given my expected on/off-road...
My intention is to tow this once a year from storage to our campsite in May and then back in October. It weighs 6400lbs. I may remove the two batteries and propane tanks to reduce the tongue weight. I have an Equalizer WD hitch. Fingers crossed :)
Hey! North Jersey here. I’m holding off on Rausch until I have a lift and tires. It’s looking more like January at this point given the news from SEMA.
