I agree on parts stores checking batteries, but this test was by the owner and has been doing test for years. I will try bypassing the aux and see how it acts.
I removed the crank battery and had NAPA test it and they said it was good. This leads me to believe the aux battery is bad. I guess my next move is to pull the fuse and the aux negative.
Thanks for the info, electrical on the newer computer & relay vehicles is not my strong suit. Worried about causing my self more problems. Servicing dealer is 75 miles away.
The start/stop issue did not show up until I had 60,000 on the JT so it's on me. I appreciate the info at this time I'm trying to decide main, aux, both or bite the bullet and buy a dual system.
Over the last several months my stop/start has be unavailable battery charging. I placed a battery maintainer over night. Next morning I do my usual drive of around a hour. System is ready 30 miles in I hit my first stop light and when the engine stops the voltage drops from 14.1 to 12.2 is...
Well he did come to the asylum to ask advise of the inmates. That said I love mine, I do miss my Mustang GT convertible. However driving the Mustang on the beach would have been a no go.
I put a battery maintainer on my truck in November, my auxiliary battery was always charging. I drive the truck every day but the battery would take 50 miles to be ready. The battery maintainer appears to have been a temporary fix. Now I need to decide if I replace the factory battery set up...
I have Bilstein shocks on my 03 F250. They have over 100K on them with no issues. When I replace the shocks on my JT I will go with the Bilstein shocks.
When I bought my 20 Sport S I wanted a Gobi or a Gator. The dealer had one of each. The Gobi had $10K in add ones. I got my Sport S max tow for 8K less than the basic Sport in Gobi.
A guy who moved in two houses up from me has a snow plow for his F250. When he moved from Colorado he had it attached to the truck. He says he gets lots of looks with Fl plate and the plow on the truck.
A thought on the fuel usage. I no longer have a horse trailer, but I pull a motorcycle trailer about the same size. The wind resistance on the trailer at 70 cuts my MPG to about 12 towing. I have found that I get about the same gas milage using my F250 to pull the trailer, and it has great...
I never had a problem with my 4 wave services. However now that that is done I will do my own oil changes. At least I know the oil filter top was not over tightened. It did appear that the oil filter cap was over tightened.
