Installed the Red Rock dead pedal. FYI if you have the mopar brake controller then the bolt that holds it is in the way. I drilled another hole in the mount to accommodate but was still a PITA to get it installed. Also put BFG 285/75r17 KO2’s on.
Just got them installed BFG 285/75r17 so far on the 45 minute drive home I’ve not noticed any change in the mpg… per the dash…. Ride is better and I actually think they are just as quiet or even quieter than the stock tires. Before and after pic.
Thank you all for your advice/input, I placed the order this morning for the BFG's 285/75R17 and will have them installed on 7/7/23. I will post pictures and first drive review of them once I get them on there.
So it will mostly be some light mud, snow, gravel roads and blacktop. The only time I would ever drive in sand is if I go back to Outer Banks which would not be a normal thing. I am planning to order the BFG's this morning, will post pics once I get them mounted up.
Yep, they are the cheapest that I have found, that is where the screen shot if from in my original post. Those BFG's are way more anywhere else I've looked. The Kenda's were $5 cheaper on Amazon but they only have 1 tire left there at that price now.
I like the 255/85r17 in the Baja Boss and have researched them as well, only one thing about them is the price which looks currently to be around $385 per tire which I am not sure I want to spend that much more vs the two I posted above. They do however have great reviews.
I also thought about that as well, lighter will in theory be a bit easier on the MPG loss. Guess it is a balance on what you really want to achieve overall. In a fantasy world I'd like to keep my 20mpg and get a nice larger off road capable tire as tall as I could shove under there without a...
So I have been back and fourth on tires multiple times. I have researched threads and read a ton of reviews on every tire out there. I've narrowed it down to two tires mostly due to the price and sizes. I do not plan to put a lift unless I do the Terra Flex 1.5 and Daystar 3/4. For now I...
It snowed the day after I picked my truck up, they cindered the roads and I have several rock chips on my hinges. Wish I’d have taped mine up…. I put the weather tech on mine but was too late.
Mine looks the same on the driver side, it bothers me at times and I keep messing with it. It doesn't leak at all and works great. It is just one of those it is what it is things I think.
Older Post I know, but thought it would be good to see any long term reviews from those of you who have had them for awhile now? $242 a piece right now on Wal Mart. I am struggling to find the right tire for me and these look nice for this price.
