  1. Adding Aux Switches to Diesel

Check if you have the output wires for the OE switches. Pop the hood and look next to the battery. There should be a bundle of wires (4 i think) that have shrink tube over the ends. If my memory serves me it was a fuzy cloth tape. It will be in some wire lume so you may have to look for a dead...
  2. Official EcoDiesel Oil and Filter Recommendations

Here is my oil test. I would appreciate if anyone could translate it for me. My first oil change was at about 4300 miles. This test was from my 2nd oil change at 13,856 miles which is 9,493 miles of use and oil life indicator said 5% . Penzoil Synthetic 5W40 Do any numbers indicate if the oil...
  3. Oil leak(s) ar 1500 miles

I think you are confused on the free features of this engine has. 3.0L EcoDiesels come with total vehicle rust protection. It slowly feeds carefully metered amounts of engine oil to critical components that may rust (based on poor material coatings). I know it is a new vehicle an it is a...
  4. Extended warranty after purchase

WOW! Thanks! That was the same questions the guy asked me and it is still almost $1000 cheaper.
  5. Extended warranty after purchase

Update to the thread. I called the Mopar phone number on a letter I received and got a quote of $3,426 for 100,000 mile warranty. 2021 Diesel with 14,500 miles after 1 year ownership. Important to note that the diesel exhaust system would not be covered by this extended warranty but it is...
  6. Stupid Aussie

What is your complaint with the Rubicon Shock/suspension. Too soft and floaty or too harsh?
  7. Cell phone holder?

I made mine from sheet metal. It is like the Proclip but all metal and nonadjustable. It holds the phone very securely and I don't have to worry about the ball slipping. I use it to run google maps while the stereo display is for rear view camera on the camper.
  8. Rubicon takeoff suspension

You can replace just the shocks and springs if you are doing Rubicon takeoffs. I do question why though. You will only gain 1/2 of lift (if any) which is really not worth it. The ride will be stiffer. For occasional off-roading you will be fine with stock sport shocks. I actually changed back...
  9. Questions regarding the Gladiator

OP have you ever had a Jeep (wrangler) in the past? I ask because many people dont know what they are getting into buying one. Jeeps are not comparable to many other vehicles for better and for worse. Better off road and performance on many levels but much worse if you are switching from a car...
  10. Ebay lights

Sorry to burst your bubble but they seem pricey for a knockoffs. Look at the 1st comparison pictures and they are aiming the halogen down so its lies bright. The biggest problem with these cheaper lights is the cooling (which you can not see the backs of them so they are probably all plastic)...
  11. What Insurance Rates and Loan APR % is everyone getting ?

Make sure you get windshield coverage on your insurance. ESPECIALLY if you have adaptive cruise control. I snuck it in Progressive for only a few dollars a month.
  12. Diesel cooling options and ideas

Im looking at a oil plug pump to radiator to small filter to oil cap return. Piecing the who thing together is more work than it seems.
  13. Mopar Halogen Fog Lights to Mopar LED Fog Lights

I am in the same sits as the OP. I want to swap my old halogens for new OE LED lights. Everyone says use Tazer or JL but WTF do you do when you go to the dealer for any service? Your lights wont work as soon as you unmarry.
  14. First oil change on the ecodiesel

My dealer did not rotate my tires. I think you need to ask for that and for the first tire rotations I would say its not needed until 10K miles or so anyway. My concern might also be what oil they used. I had to verify they used the right stuff which was a Penzoil. IMO it was also good that...
  15. Comparison: Falken AT vs dedicated snow tires

How did they compare to ride handling/harshness? I swap to snow tires on my Subaru primarily so they are smoother in the colder temps. IMO the Falken AT ride harsh.
  16. Hot Spot No Internet

Ill second that question. All I used the U-connect for was to start and unlock with my phone. Lol IF it does have wifi hotspot how do you access the password and such?
  17. Rust! Is it just me?

I would love to provide a test summary but I can't for a few reasons.
  18. Cloth Seats vs. Leather Seats Package

Go look at a sport interior vs other builds. To me there was a HUGE difference in dash and other trim on say the sport vs an Overland. Definitely worth the $800-1200 upgrade. It will significantly effect resale also.
