I was thinking of keeping my springs from
Max tow...
adding Fox 2.0 Rubi shocks
2” Daystar front level
.75 rear daystar spacer
Thoughts??
seems way more economical than the actual lift....
Dumb question I guess but I have never thought much about it until the JT as I always had the muffler shop weld up my exhaust.
so if I just pick a muffler out online and then take it over to the shop and have them install a 2.5 or 3” pipe from the cat back... is that the same thing as ordering...
Can you get the same performance upgrade if you picked up a muffler then let the shop custom bend and weld up a 2.5 - 3” pipe?
what’s the advantage / disadvantage of that...
Yes I wasn’t referring to tow rating I was referring the the load on the trailer hitch and how much the bed drops based on the shock... but it seems it’s more based on the springs than shocks.
I am running 35’s
this info is very helpful thanks
@sarguy1941 so what so you think the benefit of the fox shocks are with your set up now over the stock max tow sport shocks? You added the 2.0 rubi shocks correct? I am thinking of doing the same set up.
And I was also considering this one...

Holley has better numbers
@NateKY
I kind of delt with this same dilemma... 1st thing see if the 5” screen you are considering has the XM option... I didn’t know that it wouldn’t come standard. Which is ridiculous. I added a Ram Mount to the passenger grab bar bolt which helps me deal with the 5” screen. Would I rather...
Post a pic of what you are towing with the description of what your set up is.. preferably with the pic from the side so everyone can see how much the rear drop of the bed moves...
Example..
Sport S Max Tow
Upgraded Rubicon Fox 2.0 Shocks upgraded Rubicon Springs
1.5 Day Star Level
Nitto Exo...
What is the benefit if any of adding the only the fox rubicon shocks to the max tow?
When I first read that I would get a 1” or so lift out of the rubicon fox suspension and springs I was all about it... but even with the slight lift... the springs aren’t as stiff due to the 1 less loop in...
