what do you want the backlights to do? Be on all the time except when the foglights are on?
If that is the case yes you can use Fuse 52 for both, the backlight draw is minimal.
However that being said tapping the parking lights is the way to go. That way the backlights work as night time...
edit my first instructions were incorrect.
Use a small pick tool or screw driver to push down the small white square in the center of the connector. Then push the white slide forward, which unlocks the connector.
you are using a steel winch plate but an aluminum bumper?
The bumper is essentially what secures the winch plate to the car. There is a reason why people use steel bumpers.
The pro move is to get a long USB cable and route it from the Rubigrid down the dash board into the center console where it is hidden and out of the way. This would involve a lot of interior removal
On a side note, I believe the seat bolts might be one time use since they come with factory loctite on them. I'm going to go ahead and order 8 of them to replace when I remove the back panel again.

no worries buddy, i am just going to reverse the wires. Can you post a picture of your harness so I know which connection the yellow wire needs to be on?
I compared the old harness to the new harness and they appear exactly the same to me. There is a single wire with a yellow strand which goes to the same connections on the fender and pump
old harness pictures below
I unplugged the CAH IHS connector completely and behaves exactly the same way. So this is likely correct. Thanks for your help. I'm gonna order the harness from Jimmy and now I get to take out the back panel again!!!!
This doesnt solve the problem with wiper stalk being reversed. It also appears Vishnu has this same problem so the harness we ordered might not be right
