I double check that before I put everything back together. I however wasn't confident in how I pinned this connector to the CVPM. The pins didn't seat well, but I assumed it was fine cause the CVPM was working.
Also there are 2 can bus connection points on the back panel. I choose to connect to the one on the drivers side. I figured it didn't matter which CAN bus connection point I choose.
I also made my own CAN bus connector using the parts listed in Jimmy's first post.
The CAN bus has to be...
I did some debugging, I swapped the cameras around and I am confident the cameras are working. All indications point towards the CVPM. Is there a different CVPM for 2022?
I needed the backseats and I was confident that I wired the CVPM correctly since the backup camera was working. Also I was sure it was an AlfaOBD issue.
So long story short I put everything back together.
However, that being said the first thing I did when I got to the dealership to pick up...
something similar is happening for me. Uploading video now. However the camera doesn't work at all
I double checked the part number it is correct for a 2022
So I am an idiot and I didnt realize I had to read the system status each time before viewing the log. It turns out the log I was viewing was from 2 days ago thats why it showed the updates as pending.
It turns out the changes I made with AlfaOBD did get implemented into the BCM see the new log...
I dont actually have a blue screen I cant press the front camera Button it does nothing. In the off road pages when I click on the front camera it makes a sound and does nothing. Amazon just delivered an ECRI security bypass module. Going to try that now and see if it changes anything
OBDLink Mx+
I dont think its the OBD bluetooth adapter. I can read the log on the car just fine. Also DashCommand and the OBDLink apps all work flawlessly.
My experience with AlfaOBD has been different than everyone else on these threads. The software did not connect at first of me, I kept getting BUS init errors. I started messing around with manual connection tab and somehow I got it to connect to the BCM. But I dont think the changes that I made...
Well I'm admitting defeat. The front camera does not work and the washer stalk sprays the front camera. The rear camera is working through the CVPM and the CAN bus so I assume I wired everything correctly. I read the log through AlphaOBD and see the changes are appended to the bottom of the log...
My front camera is still not working. Good news is the radio is now working without issues.
Honestly I completely regret this mod, way too much work and are completely reliant on Alfaobd software working on your particular model of gladiator.
It's a 2022, I googled the issue and apparently it's related to the washer pump harness. For some reason that also affects the volume of the radio. I guessing it's because I replaced the harness without telling the ECU.
Here are the issues I've encountered on this is install:
1. I was not able to remove the front grill with my winch installed. Essentially had to uninstall and reinstall the winch and front bumper. This probably added 6 hours to this install.
2. I did the install in the engine bay first for the...
I actually just did this. Other than removing the ECU there is no otherway to get better access. The good news is pretty easy to disconnect the hoses. You don't need to unplug the wiring harness from the pump because the harness gets replaced. Will need to remove one of the bolts that secures...
