All parts have arrived just in time for me to start a new job in a new city so the install will have to wait. Who ever said patience is a virtue never owned a Jeep.

Cool.

I would suggest however using 2 cables for the front cam to cvpm. Run one from cvpm to right where it gets to the front grille. Then a short one from there to camera. Reason being it makes removing the grille easier. You don't have to cut the ties and youunroute the cable from the grille cable organizers. This will all be clear when you see it.
This is a pro tip!

I’ll check it out. It just does not give you an option for the 2022 jeep at the beginning. And if you choose the 2021 then you can’t connect
Did AlfaOBD update work for your 2022?

Anyone know why I don’t have zoom button
You don’t have any zoom buttons? I had double at first. There is a setting for the zoom for both types of backup cams.

This is the setting for the original so be sure to disable it: radio & connectivity camera zoom setting with AlfaOBD

Then go back and double check the settings from the install write-up to ensure everything is set accordingly. I had to walk through them twice and found a couple that didn’t get set the first time through.

OP I'm doing the install this weekend. All the parts are here except,

6506955AA

The camera nuts won't be here for another 2 weeks. Is this something I can find a replacement for at Home Depot/Auto Zone?

I'm just about to start this front trailcam install on my 2021 Glad. I'm planning to put the CVPM behind the rear plastic piece, as I ordered all of the cables off of parts list prior to reading comment by @ecidiego about not installing the CVPM behind the seat. Oh well, it'll be a nice clean factory look...

@ecidiego I'm wondering about the routing of the power and video cables from the front to the back and vice-versa. Is it really necessary to separate power and video cables or just easier to run them all down one side (presumably passenger side)?

Also, is it a good idea to disconnect battery for this whole install or only necessary for the programming at the end?

Thanks in advance for the complex write up! Off we go....

The back rear panel is seriously a PIA! I highly recommend thinking about how much money your own time is worth, potentially buying a replacement one, and ripping the stupid thing off. I only broke two or three clips and one might be able to be super glued back on. A small headed and handed helper is highly recommend also!

Theyre basic snap nuts...I have a few....looked for 20 min.....can't find :(

Throw the part # in amazon...might be able to snag generics.

Tried to find generic parts at autozone. Resorted to 2 zip ties combine together. Not proud of it but works!!

@ecidiego Did you run across any good diagrams for running the washer hoses to the reservoir, installing the pump, and the washer wiring harness. I think I have part of it figured out, but this looks painful. Is it necessary/easier to pull out the reservoir?
