I'm looking to upgrade the coil springs on my stock Willy's to the Max Tow springs with hopes of getting a little more payload.
I'm wondering if buying just the rear springs would suffice, or if I should just end up replacing all 4. Not sure how the truck will ride with the softer stock...
@ShadowsPapa, have you considered pulling accessory fuses in order to find the culprit behind the battery drain? Here on the job our Ford Escape kept dying with a relatively new battery due to the radio sucking the battery dry whether in the on/off position.
Between truck bed, roof rack/basket, and a purchasable hitch basket, you can definitely swing a Gladiator. Some of the hitch baskets I've seen are impressively large. You can also tow a trailer/cargo cart.
Running a diesel? If so, this is the problematic wire harness. The harness is right by an exhaust flange on top of the DEF.
Edit: here's a video to give you an even better idea of where to look
After dozens of fills this happened to me for the first time on my 21' yesterday. Go the same station consistently. Happened prior to the full 'click' so it's not like I topped it off with a few extra squirts. Glad to see it's an issue and not due to my incompetence....
Excellent choice. That's on my purchase list as well... Make a thread wherever appropriate with install/thoughts on the kit. I'm sure there are plenty of users on here interested in the upgrade.
At 3 years and 45K miles I'd imagine you're pushing the AUX battery's life anyways. Can't hurt to swap out.. A cheap way to find out if it's the root cause.
Nice. I use all the same stuff.. great company. I'm contemplating getting a ceramic coating done on the truck to keep it pristine as long as possible. Any recommendations? I'm leaning more towards getting it professionally done but am looking at between $1100-1500 for coats with 5 year...
I use Chemical Guys neutral based 'Mr. Pink' soap along with my $100 Ryobi pressure washer. I give the car a quick water pressure rinse, pour an ounce of Mr. Pink in my Ryobi foamer attachment and foam up the entire car. I let it sit for a minute or two and then go at it with a mitt (using only...
When users on this forum are dealing with lawsuits for simply changing their tranny fluid whilst following Owners Manual specs, I don't have faith in FCA honoring mods to anything electrical, especially with non-MOPAR kits. I agree that it shouldn't be voided based on the upgrade alone but I...
If suspension warranty work is voided for simple lifts, I doubt removing the factory's integral battery and replacing how the electrical system charges will be allowed. Super easy to find out.. Plenty of Mopar warranty vendors on here. I'm just willing to wager a void to anything electric-related.
I'm almost positive it would be voided. And no the dual battery setup deletes the AUX battery. For anyone not with extended warranty it's the first mod I recommend post 36k miles/3 years. Really just a factor for extended warranty holders.
This is a great solution to the terrible AUX battery. Just sucks for anyone with extended warranty as it would void the entire electrical system which is probably the biggest $$$.
edit: turns out I am wrong.
