If you don’t like any of the kits as they come you can piece things together to get exactly the parts you want.
2 inch spacers front and rear
2 inch shock extensions front and rear
2 inch bump stop extensions front and rear
Extended sway bar links front and rear
I would also add the Mopar...
Check this video out! JT Sport so narrower axles like the Overland, he's on the Teraflex 3.5 or 4.5, but that doesn't change fitment when proper bump stops are in place. He added front Rubi/Mojave fenders.
The Teraflex spacers are designed to be stackable. Your initial plan is solid for a simple setup, but the idea of the Teraflex front spring is also good. Either way you’re going ti be all set for your needs.
At the very least it sure drove better than stock paired with the Fox 2.0 shocks.
The front shocks included in their package were too short, they rode fine but lacked enough down travel. I suggest that anyone buying this kit look closely at the front shock lengths.. maybe that has changed...
My 1st JKS component was their Track bar, it was great, didn’t rust never came loose.
2nd was their 2.5 inch JKU kit, no issues.
Naturally my good experiences led me to going with the 3.5 JT kit, no control arms though just the drop brackets which I have used on both previous rigs with no...
Nice choice for the new ride. I had the previous generation ZR2 and it was the best driving truck I’ve ever had. Love my Mojave’s and the ability to put 37’s it but can see the possibility of another ZR2 in a few yrs!
You're going to be pleased with the 285/75's, don't change that order. I ran that size on my 2020 Overland and they were great, not too big and not too small. With the 4.10's it will drive great, if you have those silly plastic bumper end pieces like shown above you'll likely need to remove...
Thanks for the idea, I am up in Sudbury so bit far to see if they would sell it. Lemme know when you’re doing the trade and I will call them.
Hope that new ride is awesome!
You may have missed the part where I mentioned speed cameras, this is speed limit related, not a fuel savings excercise. The point was I still see 8th at those speeds!
Thanks for your feedback on the devices. I am ok with tech but also want something as simple as possible for the new rig to avoid any headaches. Not interested in wiring or fugging with things, just want a simple device that can adjust my speedo, odo, and shift points to make things right.
Haha damn those speeds! Where I live 85kmh is standard with speed cameras! That's like 53mph lol. I still see 8th on no wind flat or slight down grades at my little lady wimpy speeds!! At 85mph my MPG's would be baaadd!!!
Stealerships in my area have all indicated that Chrysler Fiat whoever the heck runs the show removed that option from them. In the past I had it done and watched how the system worked, was super simple. It might just be a Canadian thing about the removal of that option to dealers.
I suggest...
I wouldn't consider letting a tire shop attach a computer to my Jeep!
I felt the 35's on stock wheels on my Mojave with auto and 4.10's was great, the whole it doesn't stay in 8th gear all the time is because it shouldn't, any vehicle is going to downshift on grades. I didn't feel the need to...
I have experienced the same with dust on my Mopar/Jeep factory installed soft cover, but not significant or concerning water entry, there was no water entry of concern with the soft cover on my 2022 (stolen sadly).
I was out this past wknd and we had some heavy rain, no notable water entry...
Travel comes from the shocks, not the coils. The free length of the coils determines how long of a shock can be run, so if you look at it that way you're also correct! Chaos.
