It’s simple, one failing battery will always cause the other to also fail. ALWAYS! So you need to change both the Aux and Main batteries at the same time. Never just replace one. Or you’ll just prolong the problems and get more frustrated trying to trouble shoot things. This is what the...
For me, it’s a pair of KC Slim Line spot lights up front.
The LED fog lights do a good job lighting up the sides up front. And the 4 Slim Line spots on the sport bar do a good job lighting up down range. But the two on the front bumper are invaluable. I can leave them as spots, or put on a...
Yup. Did the rockjock spacer. Works good and simple. Although, added a few steps that was omitted from rockjock.
Put a few coats of 2x rustolium black paint to the spacer for corrosion protection. Added a flat washer to the bolts because it only comes with a split washer. And I used the OEM...
Not sure about the Mojave, but I did the Mopar 2” lift with Bilstien shocks lift on my 22 sport s / max tow. It retains the OEM geometry. Which I, personally, prefer.
But unless your level is a spacer only kit, I would think you’ll have to figure something else out. The Mopar kit replaces...
JMHO…
Looks like some corrosion might have set in. Maybe some pitting. And physics tells us material stresses tend to concentrate at points and sharp edges. Pitting corrosion tends to be very very sharp. So I’m thinking a stress fracture due to corrosion.
That’s my A&P self talking. Lol.
I...
You could always cut some aluminum doublers. Use some blind rivets (pop rivets) to fasten it to the beds areas to reinforce the attachment points then install the rivnuts. At least if you are comfortable doing something like that. I get the feeling most people are not comfortable doing sheet...
I did rivnuts on the side to install mole panels without issues.
As long as you positively know what is on the other side……. And install with a good RTV on the faying surfaces to prevent corrosion.
Today I did a little preventative maintenance. Took a scotch brite wheel and die grinder to a few spots on the frame where I had scraped on rocks. Polished out the damage, put some metal prep on it and applied a few coats of 2x rustolium paint. Also installed the rock jock carrier bearing spacer...
Well….. That’s why we all get on sites like this. Do a little rant. Maybe learn a little something. I honestly knew my aux battery was going bad. Wife told me the general red warning dot was coming on and the remote start wasn’t working. I just didn’t think it would DIE as quickly as it did. At...
I’m sure the heat is a big contributor. I try and turn it off every time. I suppose the stop/start system is like that little emissions module in my 84 cj7. Absolutely not needed for vehicle function and can run just fine without it. But Government emissions standards direct a nonessential...
This start/stop function is the dumbest invention ever. It’s an over engineered, discombobulated, mess that does nothing to save gas and causes nothing but problems. I just didn’t realize how stupid it is untill I had to change the Aux battery. 3 years old 2022. Gladiator and had two Aux...
love the heck out of mine. Very functional. Besides, can’t look any worse that those overland rigs with the big ole cage on the back with plastic square jugs of gas plastered all over it… lol. just buy some Jerry cans for Pete’s sake…..
just saying…… you can find criticism just about anywhere...
lol. I got 3 of those in the box with the mopar factory lift kit I recently installed On my JT. The wife was excited to give them away. I was just happy she didn’t want to put one my JT.
