Another laughable update today:
Trailer brake controller part number 82215652 will not be available in December. (anybody surprised?)
ā Possible ā availability next February
I sure hope theyāre right. Be advised, however, that many dealerships have advised that they are available for āpre-orderā along with a part number and date. These dates have come and gone many times. I have fallen for them multiple times myself..
Thanks.
Yes.
Thatās what I had heard with regular 37 inch tires. I was just wondering if the KO2s, being less than 37 inches, might fit with usable air.
Iām also wondering if the extra torque of the diesel will negate the use of gearing down as is commonly done with 37ās.
So to confirm: BFG KO2s 37ā fit ok in the spare well?
Any handling comments?
I need really stiff side walls as the Summerset E2 off road trailer (high center of gravity and short wb... so inherently unstable).
High speed on 31ā KO2s on a V8 Colorado are fine by the way.
Didnāt someone say that they had an issue with an after market controller that didnāt surface until attempting to drive with the hazard lights on? I canāt seem to find the thread.
I deeply sympathize with the impact COVID-19 has had on FCA. Still, They had one year and five months since first showing the controller before Europe had any viral impact.
I love Jeepās products and they fit very well into my familyās needs.
Had I known, however, that they would be unable to...
My letter to Jeep today:
2020 JeepĀ® Gladiator - Towing and Storage Utilities.png
Iām a loyal Jeep customer. 2019 Rubicon JLU for wifeās Motherās Day last year followed by 2020 Wrangler Sport for my sonās Christmas. I was at the Gladiator unveiling at the 2018 LA Auto Show. The biggest news to...
I am absolutely fascinated about The possibility of an NFC reader/app on your phone. 2019 JLU Rubicon, 2020 manual transmission soft top Sport, if I got a 2021 diesel gladiator, the fobs become completely unmanageable. With two, they already are.
I talked to them yesterday. Now December 1st. No. Iām not dumb enough to believe that either.
What really blows my mind though is when Jeep Cares says to āContact your local dealerā !!!!
Iām sure everyone has tried that plenty. ALL the dealerships within 50 miles of Salt Lake are completely...
I just got off the phone with them. Theyāre now saying December 1. They have had the part number for a while but as you know, the delays keep mounting. Frankly, I would be very skeptical of December 1. that will be two years and three days since the trailer brake controller was shown and...
I did get the AJT fob for my Rubicon but I also have a 2020 Wrangler stripped with crank windows. : ) No one is making a key fob for that. I was hoping there might be someway to program the transponder in a Fiat key that would fit in the door. Several are working on that.
Right. But that number is published by lawyers and engineers.
The frame can certainly handle it but try going up interstate 70 eastbound or interstate 80 westbound in the mountains with even half that amount.
A motor big enough to tow UP hill. Diesel, turbo V6, (E torque?) I donāt care. I just want to be able to get rid of my V8 Colorado but I canāt because my trailer is 4.500 pounds.
A factory trailer brake controller for the same reason above.
Any way to get rid of that key fob for something of...
Nathan just posted this recently.

Bottom line...
I think this is great news.
Now for the Diesel so I can place my order and actually climb I 80 through Parlyās Canyon while pulling a 4000 pound trailer.
Donāt know if Iāve missed it here. Does anyone know of a front bumper with a receiver hitch? I move small airplanes around, nothing heavy, 3500 pounds max, on a flat surface. The front receiver hitch would should be nice.
Thatās the Mopar unit with the trailer break controller. Some of the YouTubes pan by it and if youāre quick, you can pause and zoom in and see it. One year on and another Los Angeles auto show and still only the sound of crickets.
Ran my Land Rover Defender 90 through car washes for 10 years with no serious ill effects. The top was also manufactured by Bestop. I see many Wranglers at the car washes around town that seem to be doing fine as well. I would have really liked a soft top Gladiator but I was really surprised to...
