I couldn’t make the Los Angeles auto show this year. I sure was excited to hear the FCA reps there talk about the upcoming trailer brake controller last year.
A year later, I’m wondering if anyone is there who could ask the reps face to face what is going on?
I don’t doubt that at all. For some reason, the parts manuals seem to be seriously behind. South Valley Jeep in Salt Lake City does say they are installing it however.
EDIT !!!!!
Just got off the phone with the gorilla glass people. JL/ Gladiator product is still a couple of months out in...
The way I read it, this would be an upgrade.
....”so next time it needs replacing, ask for a Mopar Windshield made with Corning Gorilla Glass*.”
I talked to my dealer and he said it’s a good idea and it’s also $800. : )
at this point I’m going to wait till the windshield actually cracks all...
I find her ( and Kevin too ) totally pleasant.
If they were ever broken down around Salt Lake City, I would be more than happy to do whatever possible to help.
I really don’t get the hate.
No. But I knew getting into this, according to Lite Brite, and other videos that this would be an issue.
First rock chip repair and they sold me a lifetime rock chip repair membership as they said “will be seeing you a lot “ . I will consider gorilla glass. I am told about $800?
anyone else...
This just in:

According to local reports, Jeep owners made large quantities of popcorn to watch the spectacular show performed by the Jeepless masses
For high altitude towing (4,400 lbs) the Pentastar could work if I’m willing to run near redline. Some say it’s designed to do that. I just can’t wrap my brain around running any motor that way so I’m waiting for the diesel. Thoughts?
Cut and paste:
That's a big one for me. I dislike the look of the current factory soft top when it's open. Plus it wouldn't fit in my garage like that so I'd have to close the top every time.
ditto!!
The current soft top is a miss for me. Hopefully, one will be available to fold down to the bed.
Yes. I get your point. On a positive note: I am very impressed that you can get a real live Gladiator pretty much this way with the help of the factory, Mopar, and the aftermarket for what I consider a pretty darn reasonable price.
Diesel please. : )
I wish you could just order this. This is pretty much how I would like to configure a Gobi. Still waiting ....... and waiting .......
And waiting for the diesel and trailer brake controller.
Yeah. I’ve gotten my hopes up too many times. I’m no longer holding my breath. FCA refuses to commit. This must be really bugging them. Must be something really huge going on.
