Interesting. “ from what I saw...” from what you saw where?
I still really want a manual. 4500 pounds just might work for me but I might be dealing with a 600 pound tongue weight which is another issue altogether.
Currently, I’m using a V-8 Colorado with airbags on the springs. That’s a...
It’s nice to see that Jeep is listening/paying attention.
So far, ours seems to be working fine but it’s definitely been a learning curve.
I would add (if Jeep is still listening) if there was any possible way at all to have two vehicles keyed the same (fleet style) I would order the second...
Well, late availability is certainly better than “Not available”. Now if we could just get an idea what “late” means.
I’m wanting to order but reluctant to sell my currently controller equipped vehicle and I’m not buying another P3 (and cutting up a new vehicle) if the Mopar unit is right...
Thanks Tommy,
Your TFL work is awesome.
I don’t guess your sources can track down any estimates on the availability of the trailer brake controller? If it’s close, I’m thinking about going ahead and putting in my order in hopes that they might both ( the truck and controller ) become...
I have a Prodigy P2. Uh. Yeah. I can handle it. I could also whack my hood with a hammer. I simply find drilling holes in a brand new vehicle and suffering the associated (and deserved) hit in resale value to be unwise. Especially since Jeep continues to promise that it’s unnecessary.
Also, the...
I went to the quadratec website. They seem to have a huge selection of antennas. Which one did you get? Does it release without tools?
Your truck’s looking great. !!!
I just contacted Jeep and they knew nothing about it. I gave them the link and they verified that the picture was there but confirmed that no trailer brake controller was available. (?!).
Too weird. By the way. The tube doors seem to have disappeared from the Mopar website as well. I...
Yes. The picture is back again. I keep hoping this is a good sign.
I’ve asked several Mopar parts counters and one summed it up rather concisely after showing them this picture:
“ I need a part number. If it doesn’t have a part number, it doesn’t exist”.
One of the FCA reps wrote me a while back and suggested I look for an after market unit because “they don’t offer a brake controller “
Seriously!!!! That’s all they have to say after all the fanfare?
That’s interesting.
It’s back on the website? They took it off a few months ago.
Where is it now?
Jeep needs to make this available or at least explain why it’s not!
I’m sorry but I have a very different take:
I don’t expect it to pull like a one ton.
I don’t even expect it to pull like my Chevrolet Colorado. The numbers are obvious and I can read. However I live not to far from the Ike tunnel and most traffic keeps up just fine. Slowing below 50mph wide...
