Fishbone 22088 mounted on my Rubicon.

Quadratec Q10000 Stealth mounted in the Fishbone bumper.
https://www.quadratec.com/p/quadratec/q-performance-stealth-winch/10000lb-synthetic-rope

Tips: Remove skidplate for ease of access to all 8 nuts that hold the bumper on. Once the old bumper is off (8 nuts, 2 plastic fasteners, and foglight plug on right frame rail) you have to remove the remaining plastic fasteners. Then you have to remove foglights (7mm bolts). To get foglight harness out of bumper it helps to remove the 10g metal frame. Lots of plastic tabs holding the harness into the bumper can get pushed through or cut.

Once I removed the foglight and harnesses, I mounted them in the new Fishbone bumper. The winch drops on the mounting plate and tightens up easily. Put the nuts into the winch before placing over the plate. Before mounting new bumper, replace the skidplate or there will not be enough room to get the front bolts placed.

After mounting bumper, run the cables from winch to the battery. Easier to have someone feed the wire while reaching down into the engine bay.

Install took 90 minutes. Would be easy to get it to 30 minutes if I was installing another one next week.

Thoughts: Fishbone does an amazing job of packing and shipping. This bumper looks better put together than the Rampage one on my JK. Foglight fit is tight. And secure. Holes tapped for the new phillips head screws included with bumper. Factory 7mm bolts do not get used. M4x0.7 if you need to tap a hole after trying the factory bolts.

There are not many good pictures online of this bumper. The ones used on Fishbone's website make the bumper look chunky and odd. It looks really nice on the Jeep.

Dad and I put the DV8 FBJL-10 – MODULAR FRONT BUMPER on his Gladiator yesterday. The install went fine except that it doesn't take the sport fog lights, so we had to order some 4 bolt fog lights. It's the same style lights that were in my JT Rubicon plastic front bumper.

The instructions weren't great, but the install went fine. We figured it out. I like it, tho I already put a different brand on mine. We'll have to take it partially apart to get the fogs installed when they come in. He bought a smittybuilt 10k winch to put in it.

I just purchased this one.

EVO Quarter Pounder. I’ll post some pics when I install it. Involves cutting off the “tusks”. Off to the hardware store I go.

So I bought the smittybilt Stryker front bumper w/ wings. (Pic 1) Just got delivered (in perfect condition surprisingly) and now I’m trying to decide if I want to have it painted or leave black? (Pics 2-4) I will also be doing the grill in matte black (pic 5) and the way out tailgate, hood, and fender decals in black trimmed with red.

also trying to decide on a winch. It’s between the smitty x20 10k ($422) the badland apex 12k ($600) or the warn vr evo 10s ($699).

So originally I had ordered the Quadratec QRC bumper but it was back ordered and i couldn't hold out any longer. So I cancelled and order the Rampage. There was some attention that need to be paid to the fog lights to mount but it's spec for JL/JK and some JL reviews made me aware of this. Just after I cancelled my order for the QRC and the rampage shipped the QRC became available in stock. I did debate on returning and reordering the QRC I decided to keep the Rampage on account of the weight difference.

I would say overall I'm satisfied with it.

Don’t know if I’ve missed it here. Does anyone know of a front bumper with a receiver hitch? I move small airplanes around, nothing heavy, 3500 pounds max, on a flat surface. The front receiver hitch would should be nice.

Rugged Ridge Arcus with Smittybilt 12k. You need 6 hands to install this sucker, and dont follow the instructions when it comes to the fairlead, go ahead and put that on BEFORE you try and mount the bumper and hooks to the frame..

Im not completely sold about the red outline around the Rubicon decals but i really like that the tailgate trim and vents follow that same style. was this painted on or a vinyl sticker??

Not sure with the photos, they belong to @TTEChris. I assume they are a vinyl. I just think with the color combo I’m going with (billet silver, red, black) it will look good trimmed in red like the rubicon. Talked with @pixeldecals and they have their dual vinyl decals that come pretty close to the factory colors. It’s a slightly larger red decal then a slightly smaller decal over it.

I’m mainly debating on wether or not to paint or powder coat the Stryker front bumper in silver to match the body color

well got the Smittybilt Stryker front bumper installed! What a PIA due to horrible instructions but finally got it. Also installed the Badland Apex 12k winch. Super tight fit.

Now just to decide if I'm going to powder coat it to match body color (billet) and if I'm gonna run it as a stubby or with end caps
