Did the factory skid plate work, or did you do something else. I was looking at that bumper too.
Skid plate fit back on no problem.
I also located my solenoid under there by the sway bar actuator, so it is out of sight but protected.

I wasn't going to install a winch/bumper but this entire setup was $430 off Ebay.
EAG JK bumper, 9500LB winch with synthetic rope, factory LED Fogs fit perfect, solenoid pack hidden under bumper.

Sold my OEM plastic bumper and tow hooks for $130 on craigslist.

Do you have a link to the bumper and the winch? Thanks.

I purchased a HF Badland with a 25% off coupon for $250 with tax, but can take it back if there is a better deal for a similar winch. Also, where did you source the red shackles? Thanks.

The shackles came with the bumper, I painted them apple red. Do a search on ebay for the bumper and winch. There is literally hundreds of them on there. The winch is a RC with synthetic line they run from $250 and up. I do not have the links.

So what's everyone doing for their front skid plate? Do most aftermarket bumpers accept the OEM skid plates? I've got the base Rubicon front plastic bumper which, as I understand it, has a different skid plate than the steel bumper. Curious what works and what doesn't.

I put the eag stubby bumper on as posted a couple weeks ago in this thread. I was able to put the factory skid plate back on my Rubicon.

The instructions said that I wouldn't be able to, but I was able to...

Funny enough my dad just sent me a link to EAG’s bumper. Did you use the plastic or steel Rubicon bumper’s factory skid plate? Do you know if they offer the stubby without the hoops?

And where can you buy their stuff?? I can’t even find a website for them aside from on eBay.

Top quote is my install. You can see the factory metal skid plate that was on my JT with the plastic rubi front bumper. I was looking for a sunken winch, stubby, bumper that would take the factory fog lights. My only quest with the hoop was that it wasn't crazy tall. I am not sure what's out there without a hoop. I found them on ebay and amazon. I ordered off ebay.
