  1. Plastic or steel bumper

What product did you use to level? I'm just waiting on my winch plate to arrive and will be going through the same.
  2. What benefit would I gain by...

I wish I had some to share. The trailer is being fabricated. It's a one off design that will be multi-purpose when completed. 5x10 with matching Jeep tires and rims, RTT, presurized wated tank, side storage with fold down doors and able to carry either two kayaks or my 4-wheeler. I'll...
  3. What benefit would I gain by...

Thank you for the great reply. My thoughts on the regearing was strictly for improved MPG. I think I'll just leave it alone and pay at the pump when I tow. The ROI just isn't there.
  4. What benefit would I gain by...

Kind of what I was thinking as I don't think any fuel savings, if it even existed, would ever provide a return of investment by regearing.
  5. What benefit would I gain by...

So, I'll start off by saying I don't fully understand gear ratios besides the many posts I read about tire sizing vs. gear ratio. My stock Rubicon will likely never see anything larger than the 33's on it nor do I have any plans to lift it. However, I will soon be pulling an offroad built...
  6. Badland Apex 12,000 lb. Winch installed

I'm doing the same install on my 2023 Rubicon and just waiting on the winch plate to arrive. I plan on reusing the 5 bolts with 8M nuts and split lock washers to "plug" the holes around the winch so it all matches.
  7. Bulldog winch opinions?

Smittybuilt X20 vs. Badlands anyone? Good reviews on both and within $50 of each other. Like the wireless remote on the Smitty
  8. Stock skid plate...Do they interchange?

    Thanks for the verification
  9. Stock skid plate...Do they interchange?

I just got a new (take-off) steel bumper but thought I recall hearing the bolt holes are slightly different
  10. Stock skid plate...Do they interchange?

Does the skid plate that comes with the factory plastic front bumper interchange with the factory steel front bumper?
  11. Winch mounting question

Where did you get the solenoid bracket? I like that set up. I assume the solenoid contact is normally open and the aux switch activation closes it thus providing power to the winch? Also is the coil on the solenoid momentary or maintained (ie: requires continuous 12 power to stay closed)
  12. Winch mounting question

So I'm gathering up what I'll need to install a factory steel bumper and winch to my 23 Rubi. In reading some of the posts by others I see some folks mount a battery disconnect while others just connect the solenoid to the Aux 3 switch. Not sure I understand the advantage of one over the...
  13. Thinking about switching to the Power Wegon

I was looking at doing the same thing after seeing weekly commercials for 2500 Tradesman trucks with the PW package for $49,162 here is the Tulsa market. Sadly these Gladiators do not hold their value very well IMHO. I was offered $34k trade value for a 2023 Rubi w/ 17k miles and $5k of...
  14. At-The-Ready pistol mount [⚠️ ADMIN WARNING: Storage / Mount Talk Only -- No Glorification, States, Laws, Permits, Politics or Usage Discussions]

I’m pointing out a feature of the mount as some may use it that way. Didn’t say I did or didn’t. I know reading comprehension isn’t what it used to be but the mount will also provide retention for a pistol with a round chambered. The post is supposed to be about a product that some Jeep owners...
  15. At-The-Ready pistol mount [⚠️ ADMIN WARNING: Storage / Mount Talk Only -- No Glorification, States, Laws, Permits, Politics or Usage Discussions]

Had to notch out a small piece of plastic for the sights to clear. Takes about a half second to push down on the frame and chamber a round before drawing the weapon from the mount ready for action. The only hindrance is remembering its there when exiting the vehicle as my right leg bumps the...

Round #3 Curt brake controller At-The-Ready pistol mount Oracle backup lights PPE oil pan upgrade
  17. To buy now or wait until end of the year

Probably close to the max discount you can squeeze them for. I picked up a new 2023 red Rubi for 32% off MSRP back in February in a lucky deal. Go for it and enjoy
  18. The Red Rubi Build Journey Begins

Round #2 of upgrades are now complete and included: 1. ARB front and rear differential covers. That front one was a little tough getting to! 2. PPE transmission pan. Plans are for some highway towing once I retire and figure this will help. 3. Misch Big Boy seat extension drivers side. BIG...
  19. Dewalt vs Milwaukee

Milwaukee for me. As I replace older tools it nice having them all use same battery platform.
  20. No Jeep parts or trading for me - poor kitty...

Sorry to hear that and hope it becomes manageable. Over the years between horses, cows, 10 litters of German Shorthaired Pointers and our cats I probably could have come close to buying a Gladiator outright if I added up all the vet bills. Here's a pic of Keebler my office assistant
