I think the Rubicon has a 2" additional height clearance. The stock Rubicon comes with a 285/70R17 which is 1.18" wider and .64" taller than the stock 18" Overland tire/wheel. So if your are getting both tire and wheels off a Rubicon you should have plenty clearance on the Overland. The actual...

There are several very good size comparison websites. I like the one on Discount Tire website. I will be going with a 275/65R18 AT. Gives me a wider stance, aggressive tread and most importantly for me, the same height. So I don't have to worry about a change in speedo or calibration issues...

The other odd thing is there are over 70 JTs in route to the Atlanta area, about a third are Overland models. None have the body color roof. All have the black hard top. However, some of the Rubicons have the body color roof. Go figure...

No worries she drove a 97 TJ for years. She is aware of the Jeep quirks.

For her it is difficult to park and drive a larger/wider vehicle. She has depth perception problems. The bigger vehicle is problematic at best. For me the alternative is her driving my Vette or our 10 year old MDX with 200k miles. Both are not good options. And as always, happy wife happy life.
