Still loving it, honestly. I may do a long-term video review on it if I ever get around to finding some free time to film and edit.
I haven't noticed any issues with the coating that I didn't create, such as through drilling, or grinding for various attachments/clearances, etc. It's pretty...
Nice! You addressed two things I've been mulling over now for some time: the roof rivnuts, and whether a spare would fit in that area beneath the cap on that same mount. I run 35s, so it appears as though this wouldn't be an issue. I may need to look into this. My only potential issue is that I...
For sure! I appreciate it.
Alaska is on my list as well, but I'd still need to do a good bit of planning before I could action that. I also can only take a month off due to work, so it may be a rushed trip, which I don't really want. We'll see!
Thanks! I really enjoyed the trip and need to get back out on the TAT. Unfortunately I didn't have time to push past Colorado. I did OK, NM, and about half of CO at that time, so I need to head back out there one of these days myself.
Very cool! I'm with most of the above: my first thought was that this would be a parody on toll roads and turnpikes. I was raised in PA and regularly visited NJ to see family. I never would have thought there was a trail like this up there. I may have to add this to my list of trails. I'm...
This reads a bit like a bot/plug for a business...but in the event that it's not:
I appreciate it! The Jeep easily has plenty of space for everything I need for a week or so outing. Obviously, if I were looking at moving, I'd be towing a large trailer, or would be driving a large moving truck...
Oh, I didn't know they put together a specific kit. That may have been after my time. I preordered the cap and started looking at rack options early on, so I had to piece together my own stuff haha.
I went with a stubby 180 degree awning that fits perfectly on the back of my rack with...
Can't find the exact ones that I went with, but something like these:

You'll need special mounting feet/anchors to attach Frontrunner racks to the RSI rails (unless you plan on heavily modifying the Frontrunner ones with a grinder). Reach out to Frontrunner customer service, let them know you're planning on mounting to an RSI cap, and they should be able to help...
Ahh gotcha, my bad. That's a neat little device! I may need to keep an eye out for one myself to give it a try.
And yeah, that is an odd situation. I wonder what the difference is...
The second video in my trans-america trail series is up! I'm hoping to get another trip in this fall/winter to keep working towards my goal of completing the entirety of the trail.
Feel free to like/subscribe, if that's your kind of thing!
Appreciate that! I put out a video a few days ago from a recent trip on the trail through MS, and I feel like that video was done better in every way haha. Feel free to check it out if you're bored! Doing the shots, voice-over, and editing solo is always a fun challenge, but I think it's coming...
Bloodydamn! Always good to meet another Howler. Even though Ares was a gold, I settled on it for my red Jeep. Also carries the whole god of war vibe, so it works haha. I think yours is only the second comment I've ever gotten on the decal.
I had a gray Grand Cherokee prior to this that I...
No news is good news in my opinion! It's one of my favorite, most useful additions to the build. I've overloaded it with yard supplies and had no issues, and it's fantastic for day-to-day gear that goes in the back.
I may still drill it out and lay down L track in thr future, but I haven't...
