Yeah, that would be awesome! Unfortunately Jeep couldnāt get the diesel to work with the right hand drive, so our only option is the 3.6. Having said that, a few Gladiators have made it across the Simpson Desert already, and Iāll be tackling that trip next August (3-4 days to cross, no fuel...
Good spot! Yes, the Rubicons (and all other Gladiator and Wrangler trims) come with a slightly wider version of the Max Tow fenders (high-line fenders not available). Something to do with tire coverage laws down here and in the EU. Another difference is the hood which is the same as the WayOut...
Looks like Quadratec has them in stock too. https://www.quadratec.com/p/teraflex/falcon-sp2-3.3-fast-adjust-piggyback-shocks-gladiator-jt/ecodiesel-2-3-inch-lift-14-02-33-400-152
Have a look at this page: https://www.falconshocks.com/copy-of-jl-wrangler-unlimited
This page lists all the shock choices for the Gladiator, and each has an option for the JT Ecodiesel. Those are the ones you want, not the Wrangler shocks. The Ecodiesel shocks do fit the petrol versions as...
Yeah, the regular 3.3s hit the auxiliary battery box on the RHD Gladiators and JL Wranglers⦠ask me how I know! Lucky for you Falcon now has the diesel version that doesnāt hit the box. The reservoir is a lot shorter on the diesel shocks than the regular version.
If you go with the regular...
Just for something different, how about the export Rubicon hood (this is my Australian 2020 Rubicon). Itās steel instead of aluminium, different vents than the US Rubicon and the bulge is kind of profiled like the Mojave, but not quite as high and no inlet scoop. :like:
Doesnāt that defeat the purpose, being to reduce flicking up rocks and mud behind you when youāre running tires poking outside of the stock flares? I donāt see the rational for mounting them in reverse as they donāt really serve a functional purpose then, and it looks kinds funny if you ask me. ?āāļø
I got the regular kit with two front and two rear. Iām not a big fan of how the fronts look when adapted to the rear fenders, but I donāt see why you couldnāt make them work on our fenders with a bit of trimming. Thereās a few good write ups and pics on this thread...
Well, installed these flare extensions on my Australian spec Rubicon the other day. NONE of the holes lined up as the Aussie/Euro flares are a bit different (similar to US spec Max Tow, apparently). But with a bit of help from a friend, a 1/4ā drill bit and a plastic rivet gun that repeatedly...
I hit 32 degrees roll and 21 degrees pitch back when I just had a 1.5" levelling kit and 34s. I don't EVER want to do that again, especially now I'm lifted a fair bit higher. :whew:
Yep, Aussie Gladiators and Wranglers have the max tow fenders, different export hood, fender/bumper gap inserts and even recovery hook covers. All in the name of pedestrian safety. Available trim levels as either loaded or FULLY LOADED. ? At least the Rubicons come with the steel bumper, but...
Thereās an Australian company called CAOS that makes a 1.8 meter 270 awning (Nomad Bub). Iāve just mounted one today on my Rhino Rack to give a bit of shade at the side and over the tub when at the beach or camping. A mate has one mounted on his Rebel bed rack. Nice bit of kit, but shipping to...
Hereās my Australian spec 2020 Rubicon running a 2.5ā lift from a local Jeep specialist shop (Murchison Products in Brisbane). Shocks are Falcon 3.3 for 2-3ā lift with 2ā bumps. Iām really impressed with the flex I get out of this set up.
First two pics are with 305/70r17 on stock rims, third...
Iām going to assume that you are genuinely interested in why it appears more people seem to be going for professional installs rather than diy, which has been the traditional Jeeper approach (as opposed to a passive aggressive post designed to rile people and gain some sort of false sense of...
The Australian spec Rubicons with the steel bumper come with plastic gap filler pieces standard. We get max tow spec fenders on the Rubicons over here, so I suspect they would work on models like yours. Most people here immediately remove them, but I may have my set in my workshop. When I get...
