Welcome to the club. I came to a Gladiator from a '19 Tacoma TRD Off-Road. I like the Gladiator a lot better.
The bed on my tacoma was put on off-center, also when I shifted it to Drive, the whole truck would jump. It had an intermittent wobble sounding noise (probably drum brake rubbing)...
Odd, mine has had the "tick" since brand new, but only after it warms up, only at idle, and I can only hear it when the JT is inside the garage. I hope it's normal injector noise in my case.
Of course.
The point is that the OP found the issue the day after he bought his JT. Not sure how things work with his dealership. With my dealership, even if nothing was wrong with the JT, I would have been able to return it at that point, no questions asked.
Please re-read my message. I didn't say that my state has a cool-off period. It may or it may not. I said that some states have a cool-off period. My dealership had a 7-day cool-off period.
Feel free to keep checking the rest of the states. You'll find one eventually.
Some states have a mandatory cool off period of a few days. Also, my dealer has a 7 day or 150 mile return policy, no questions asked. E.g. my JT was not titled to me until 7 days after I drove it off the lot. So, it was legally brand new for those seven days. I doubt that the OP's truck has...
Congrats!! Are you trading in your JT? If yes, if you don't mind me asking: Are you losing money, breaking even or making out like a bandit on your JT trade in? [Edit: ignore the trade-in question - just saw the answer]
IMHO, the Gladiator is not inferior to at least one Toyota truck: The 3rd gen Tacoma. I went from a 2019 Tacoma (bought new) to the Gladiator. In quality control, the Tacoma may win in theory, but not really. My Tacoma had 2 recalls, an internment wheel rubbing noise, the truck bed was put on...
I test drove the manual and the automatic back-to-back and went with the automatic. IMO, too heavy a vehicle for a manual. Plus you get an extra 2 gears with the auto.
I remember around this time in 2020, prices started to go down and I thought I'd missed the gravy train to trade in my then Tacoma. Only to see prices go back up with a vengeance a month or two into the new year. Let's see what happens in 2022.
I don't think the OP has a very good sense of judgment on how fast other vehicles are going (hope he's not a state trooper). I used to own a 3rd gen Tacoma and to go from any speed to 90 MPH would have taken a few minutes, if at all. Even from 85 to 90, would have taken some flooring and...
LOL. I do not wheel. I do not need an excuse not to. I just don't want to. I do not mod any of my vehicles either. I consider that to be a waste of money. I got my fill of wheeling when I was a teen with an older Ford truck.
Why a JT? I needed a truck, there were none available from other...
I had to go replay the video a few times to catch the sound. I've driven my JT with the top off, windows open, top on, windows closed, on steep inclines and flat roads etc. and have never heard that sound before. That is a very strange sound indeed. I can see why it bothers some people.
Bellevue: So, the 1% under invoice should be before rebates. Once you deduct the rebates, then you should end up with another chunk off invoice. That's the deal I got. Ask him to give you a bottom-line price with all incentives applied.
Kirkland: Yea, it doesn't surprise me. When I called them...
I found this ad and at first I thought it was an error, but now I'm not so sure. The description lists a Hemi crate engine, but also lists the 3.6 V6. So, does it come with 2 engines? One installed and the other one you take home as a spare? What do you think? Hemi JT LINK
