My opinion, if you’re not offloading, don’t get a jeep. If you only use it on the road, there are much better handling and driving vehicles. Find some thing with a convertible, top, or a huge sunroof.
I just had my Mojave regeared. New gears, front and rear, and the installation of the front locker.
$3500. I haven’t really driven it enough to notice an increasing mileage. But for whatever reason my Mojave got terrible mileage already so I don’t expect it to get much better.
Wired up the Baja Design LP6 Pros. Wired them as highbeam only. Just to make it simple. Using auxiliary switch three and I have them tied into my DRL’s as well.
The video I took is too big to load. I’ll get some images this evening when it is dark.
I had them with 4.10 gears for about two days. Honestly, it felt fine.
Just got them back and went on my first four wheeling trip with new 5.13 gears. A lot better. The engine definitely stays in in the power band better.
But I would not hesitate to run these on 4.10 gears for a long time
Well, the BFG is usually a 35 1/2 when it’s unmounted. These are that height, when mounted with the full weight of the jeep on them, and it only 30 psi.
Putlled the hoop off the Rugged Ridge Arcus bumper and temporarily mounted the Baja Designs LP6 lights.
The harness does not come in untill tomorrow. But I just wanted to see how it would look.
Looking forward to wiring them up. And I guess washing the Jeep after this weekend escapades...
Took my son camping with my brother-in-law, sister-in-law, and their children. Just bought some cheapo, Walmart tents and stuff as I wait for my camper. But this was a nice trip. First trip I got to use the 37s and new gearing off-road. Very happy with the set up.
People. When buying tires, buy five of them in the same size.
Don’t cheap out on the thing that connects your vehicle to the ground.
If that means you have to wait and save up longer to buy five tires then do so.
I doubt you’ll get any performance gains with any exhaust. Especially with exhaust alone. Just really doesn’t happen that much anymore.
And my personal opinion, if you actually do go, off-road, don’t put some exhaust on it. Keep it quiet, less annoyance to the animals and the outdoors.
Factor 55 pro link - lightweight, strong aluminum safety thimble.
It has some chips in the anodized finished but it’s aluminum, so no worries about rust at all.
A nice closed system that reduces the chance of sucking your fingers into your winch. Simply run a D shackle, or a soft shackle...
Picked mine up from the shop today.
5.13 gears and an ARB air locker installed in the front.
Haven’t had a chance to really get on it yet to see what the acceleration is like with the new gears. I’ll break them in a bit more and then give it a test over the weekend when I go camping.
Well - just gave you some money!
Been looking at a set of the Baja design LP6 Amber combo lights. I have used you guys for multiple parts for my Jeep and been very happy every single time!
Thanks for being a forum sponsor @Northridge4x4 !
I have the 41.22 hitch skid. Very happy with it so far it’s been up to you a couple times. Lightweight aluminum. Nice big hole for recovery if needed. Still expensive but cheaper than the option above.
