After watching copious amounts of mud, off the side of my Mojave, for the thousandth time, I bit the bullet and ordered front and rear RokBlokz mudflaps.
Obviously expensive, which was why it took me a while to actually buy them. But I really do feel they are the best one available for the type...
Thanks. Quite a bit cheaper than 8020.
To be on the safe side, I’m going to wait until my canopy campers installed. I don’t want to make any storage unit too tall and have it interfere with the mounting brackets. But I’m definitely going to keep some notes and have everything ready to order as...
Pretty much. Something to keep all my recovery gear in, some tools. Whatever else will fit. I’m thinking I’ll use this since - www.eztube.com
Decently cheaper than 8020 and people on Expedition Portal liked it.
That’s really very well done!
I’d like to build something that fits along side the driver side of the bed. Front to back, about a foot wide, maybe a bit more and just the height of the bed.
Something simple with lift off lids to hold supplies.
That sounds great. You’re basically doing what I want to do eventually!
Something to consider, if you’re going to have them opening up the differentials to change gearing, you might as well throw a front locker in.
Loaded it up with the usual stuff for a day of wheeling on the 4th - tools, recovery gear, folding table. Pop up canopy, bbq…
And plugged in the fridge so it can be nice and cool for the trip. Looking forward to some amazing tacos and ice cold beers in the forest!
Yes it came with all the hardware. You basically remove seven or eight of the existing bolts, holding the tailgate panel on, lay this piece on top of that panel, and then replace the existing OEM bolts with the new ones they send you.
I did not install any nuts or anything. Worked out really well.
I think it’s in one of these. You can see it in the thumbnails for the video, and I’m pretty sure in one of those videos he shows how he actually chopped it up
I’ve been looking for a partial deck system actually. I would like just a left hand, driver side! I saw someone online who did this. And it looked really nice.
He actually chopped up some of the unused plastic and put some aluminum angle on the corners to finish it off.
Not sure where you’re...
What did this accomplish? You said you were looking at an anti-rock which basically is a full-time/automatic swaybar disconnect. Instead you just replaced Your factory sway bar with a factory sway bar from a different Jeep?
Did you also install disconnects?
Did you gain articulation in the...
That’s a nice little set up. I’m still trying to figure out how I’m going to mount my solar generator. At the moment I’m just using a strap around it connected to the bed tiedown point
I don’t know if I’m going to have a real bed build out yet, I will have to decide on that one to my camper...
I bought a Hooke Offroad panel off eBay for $100. Pretty much the exact same thing. So far it’s worked fine.
I do not have a clear picture of it. You can barely see it under the fridge and power pack there.
Not sure how it will handle extreme heat, but I’ll find out Tuesday. Going out with...
It’s pretty much the suspension. It is made for a high speed. The Rubicon suspension is designed to go real slow and rock crawl.
The Mojave just soaks up bumps like crazy and has a good xfer ratio for those high speed runs.
Bedrug came in yesterday. Huge thanks to @RealTruck Grea5 price and FAST shipping!
Measured off where the bolt holes were for the fridge slide and using a soldering iron burned a couple holes in the bed rug the perfect size of the stainless steel spacers I use to get the fridge slide high...
Don’t run 20s. Or 22s. It’s terribly ugly, gaudy & stupid.
It’s an off road vehicle. Stick with 17s.
If you’re not going to be using it as an off-road vehicle, you made a terrible choice in buying a Gladiator. Excels off road, and pretty much pales in comparison to other vehicles in terms of...
