I'm not bothered by the size of the fob. I put tape on it to keep the key from popping out. High-tech upgrade. I've set off the alarm a few times and that's annoying.
I'll keep the stock one...
Here's a quick one, not a full install:
I got my kit from the local dealer (good folks) and set to work sticking it on. The instructions are very well done and thorough. Always a plus.
I WILL say that cutting the hood with a Dremel tool was like cutting a block of cheese with a saw all. My best...
A lot of threads all over the forums about tall people problems with the Gladiator. I'm over 6'4" and find my jtr (leather auto) to be perfectly comfortable. I often like to put the seat up to its highest position. Kinda makes me wonder where everyone wants to sit. Something for everyone I...
Seriously, I haven't thought much about it so I don't know if there's one in my truck or not. I'm wondering if it's a good thing or a bad thing. No flaming please. I'm serious. What's the deal?
Good question. I am using the MLC-6 kit and love it (no factory aux switches) but if I had factory aux "and" aftermarket, I'd appreciate the "off with the ignition" that the factory setup offers. I could wire my MLC through a relay to do that, but the factory stuff has that covered. I'm not sure...
I made a bunch of stuff so far. CB antenna mount, phone and tablet mounts, (modified) rhino rack roof rails and a mount for my roof top tent.
Tent mount:
The bed rack is made from 16 gauge 1"×2" steel tubing and 1"×1" steel tubing. It mounts to the stock holes for a bedcover front and rear.
The...
I have the same reaction when trying to work out offset vs backspacing. They are the same, only opposite and different.....somehow.....kinda....and math, and stuff......
I am over 6'4" and have more room than I need. The bed is larger than a queen-size and has a 4" mattress. I use two 5° sleeping bags zipped together. Now if I could just find sleeping bags long enough. That would be something....
I hear ya. It's a whole other level of trouble. But my tent days are long gone. When we go to Moab or JTNP etc, I spot the trailer at a campground and go explore. But at night when it's cold and I'm tired, I can dial up the heater, surf the net (onboard Apple mac mini running on 12 V, 28"...
Everything is a trade off. I pull a teardrop off-road but realistically, it's mostly desert tracks and forest service roads. If I plan to get jiggy, I'll spot the trailer. My trailer is waaaay modified. Timbren long travel suspension with raised spindles, 2,200 lbs springs with 3,500 lbs...
I was just thinking about this yesterday. The wife had my JT heaped up with bags for the dump. Was thinking about how many trips that would have been in the JL.
Then I realized..... it was all my stuff......
I agree with gren71. I'm running Iron Rock stuff and it's pretty much the top of the heap. It would be hard to get more bang for your buck than those guys. Plus......
They answer the phone....
Yeah....Me too.... Actually, the snow doesn't bother me. It's pretty much a fixture here. It's the cold I'm growing to hate more and more. We had 3 weeks in Feb where the temp never got up to 0. Lows at night of -25/-30. Gladiator shook it off, but I don't anymore. It's just abject misery. We...
